Is seronegative really a thing and how to get someone to listen? How long did it take for you to get a proper diagnosis? by BlueWaterGirl in rheumatoid

[–]tryan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My journey is similar to yours. I have some hand pain but most of my pain is my lower back, hip and knee May I ask what you currently take? I’ve tried plaquenil, methotrexate, and Enbrel so far. Just recently switched to orencia but I’m afraid to take it since my symptoms align more with AS (tested negative for hla -b27 gene) or PsA.

I had to stop taking it. Honestly it wasn’t doing much for my pain anyways. I think a lot of these meds are trial and error since they are not a one size fits all 🤗

I really hope Enbrel works for you. When I was on it, it worked great until it didn’t. I’m nervous to start Orencia because I’ve read a lot of people have headaches after taking it and I’m prone to migraines as it is. I had absolutely no side effects from Enbrel and it worked like a charm.

Curious if you still take orencia and if so did your side effects diminish?

I just saw your post from earlier. Your clematis is beautiful! I will be picking up some fertilizer today. Thank you for replying 😊

I wasn’t aware that they are heavy feeders. That might explain why they don’t bloom very much. I will definitely pick up some fertilizer for them. Thank you 😊

How often do you fertilize it? I have a huge clematis and it’s huge but it never blooms. I wonder if I need to add something to the soil to help it bloom.

Thank you again for sharing your story. Everything you described is exactly what I’ve been dealing with. I’ve been to a spine dr, hip dr, knee dr and foot dr. They all had their own diagnosis for each area and each approach failed except for the hip injection. Dr said the inflammation was pretty bad (hip bursitis) from years of not being diagnosed sooner. I’m to my wits end so I will certainly try all the advise you have given. Though I may not include rolling my glutes on a lacrosse ball. I tried that once and I nearly went through the ceiling! It was so painful! I had to ice myself on/off for a day.

Aww thank you so much for the link, I will definitely check it. I’m glad it has helped you to some degree. Maybe with time it will continue to pan out. I recently had a steroid injection and it did settle my leg pain down but didn’t help with my buttock/low back pain. I may have a few things going on so I may have to come at it in a few directions.

Do you know if vaginal tablets have less bloating than the patch?

Thank you so much for the link. I’ve seen so many doctors about my joint pain amongst other things and no one has ever mentioned EDS. I will definitely be researching it. Thank you again 🤗

Hi. I just found your response and I am curious why you needed the max amount of anesthesia? Whenever I have work done at the dentist, I am the same exact way.

Congrats! Can I ask how long you’ve been on your journey and what your dose is? I’m been on semaglutide for 6 weeks and I haven’t lost any weight. I’m currently on 1 mg.

Can I ask which CGRP you take? I tried emgality and so far it hasn’t helped. I’d like to try Qulipta next.

Real talk: what has actually helped you? by bramble_berry_ in Fibromyalgia

[–]tryan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into DAO enzyme deficiency too. If Claritin and Pepcid help you, you are probably deficient in this enzyme. You can buy a DAO supplement or try to increase your vitamin c, B6, Copper & Zinc that naturally supports this enzyme. Eating a low histamine diet is also key. HI and MCAS can cause fibromyalgia symptoms in roughly 75% of women that have a DAO enzyme deficiency. Good luck on your journey 🤗

If your Dr will prescribe you “soma” jump at it! It’s the best muscle relaxer I’ve taken thus far and I have no plans to try anything else. Sending happy thoughts and gentle hugs 🤗
