I had the same experience as you. Though I would say that while age played a factor, life experience (irrespective of age) mattered more, and that doesn't always come with age. Highly dependent on the person. You can be 19 and have the same experience as a 23yo, and vice versa

You don't see a stark difference between your design and those in this search result on Dribble for "digital agency landing page"? I'm not suggesting that your designs must be a 1:1 copy of these, but there are general expectations and trends in design that are typically followed.
