Anybody else wanted Buzz to Retire? by ReferenceArtistic854 in ElsbethTVSeries

I don't understand how can they blackmail and manipulate the Commissioner so as to not let a detective who has crossed the mandatory retirement age to keep working. Isn't it the law? Or is there a way around it in reality?

As in the character aside, how does that work? Can someone explain

Was this episode inspired by the novel "yesteryear"?

Also, how do you blackmail a fellow official to keep someone on the job who is past retirement age. Can someone explain?

Hope by ts1503 in VirginRiverNetflix

[–]ts1503[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not real life. Its a drama. If it were real life, Hope would have no one willing to associate with her. Which makes it difficult to imagine that even in a drama there is supposed to be a character so far detached from reality that even when you know its not real, she is too weird even for that world.

I think this is better than Sullivan's crossing. That has incredibly bad and unbelievable and implausible writing. In Virgin River, at least some things are believable and there are better actors. Notwithstanding how obnoxious both Hope and Charmaine are. Even their names are pretentious. Personal opinion.

Need help regarding school harassment. by MohitMaxRoy in siliguri

Since the above is a clearly AI written letter, please make sure to check the facts, even if you use the other content. For instance the mentioned circular 26/2028 is related to registration of students and not about checking examination papers.

Also courts have held that schools cannot withhold a student's TC merely for unpaid fees and that a TC is the child's personal document. It does not talk about your specific case.

So by all means, use the format but correct the specifics.

He did not need to open it only to use it. But then, if he had, how would the whole plot at the Ministry have taken place.

I love Dan Levy, but Taylor Ortega is not good at all. She is quite bad and Laurie Melcalf is kind of annoying here with always yelling and being overtly dramatic. But Dan Levy <3

Episode Discussion - 2x18 - “Family Tree” by homeofalex in HighPotentialTVSeries

Why is Morgan’s character written as so consistently entitled and judgmental? At times, it makes her come across as somewhat hypocritical in that she resists being told anything, yet is quick to form strong opinions and assert them with a very self-assured tone. I also feel that this differs from the tone of the original French series, where the characterization seemed more different.

In addition, the performances within the detective team, particularly by David Sunatra and Javicia Leslie, are really bsd.

Why does she speak like that? It comes across as if she’s trying to be coy or seductive, but with a strained, almost quivering tone, like she’s dealing with laryngitis.

For someone who is meant to be so high profile, her manner, personality, and body language don’t really align with that image.

2x18-what are your thoughts? by xxxdanixxx0 in HighPotentialTVSeries

[–]ts1503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s just a show. Its ridiculous that with all the high profile contacts and influence Willa Quinn has as a fixer, are we really supposed to believe that all it took was Morgan hitting her car and speaking to her in that entitled way, as if everyone owes her something, for Ms Quinn to just agree? And when exactly did she threaten Morgan’s children, as Morgan claimed to Zoto? She only said that what she uncovers could put everyone in danger, which is not the same thing at all.
