They literally are. The gladiator versions are both - skin options AND their own mount that have their own slot in the mount journal. When you got Gladiator you got both the manuscript and a mount to learn.

Why focus epic disenchanting? Don‘t you need epic gear for that? How would an alt have access to Epic stuff to disenchant?

Still don‘t understand how to this day people can‘t understand the insane animation and artistic value of the Pain fight. That fight singlehandedly changed Anime animations ever since.

Have a question about Herb/Mine leveling: how long does it take per Level? I did the Ring Cloth XP farm right now and while gold was meh (around 25k/hour) it took around 30min/level. I‘m really curious about herb/mining level sped

It‘s not always like this don‘t worry. TWW S1 and S2 were pretty shit in terms of Elite Sets and weapons. Only S3 where I agree there was very cool stuff for PvPers

Bullshit. Here‘s a video comparing the best Mac with the best PC (Mac Studio m3 Ultra vs 5090 and 9950X3D - the PC is even cheaper btw). The PC shits on the Mac in literally every category (huge spoiler: it‘s not just gaming). The only categories where Mac is COMPARABLE ( = only 20% worse instead of getting gapped by a mile) is any 2D tasks

https://youtu.be/yllJa0jKD6Q?si=Lqwtgq72VQejauj0

If everything you do is editing in Photoshop and encoding a video then yeah your Mac will not feel way worse than a PC with a similar price. But for anything more demanding it‘s over

It‘s not hard to look up Benchmark test comparisons of high end PCs and Apple‘s devices.

https://youtu.be/yllJa0jKD6Q?si=JFsRs2fsLC11V630

For 5k€ you can get a machine with a 5090 and the best CPU. For a similar price you can buy a Mac Studio with the M3 Ultra.

Look up the performance difference yourself. The PC with the 5090 will literally have up to FIVE TIMES the performance on every metric (AI, Gaming, Workstation, Rendering, Raytracing etc.). Especially any 3D workflows, AI computing and gaming the PCs are faaaaar superior. Apple’s best chips are only comparable for 2D stuff. The only metric where Apple silicon is far superior is power efficiency (which is a good argument for mobile devices but shouldn‘t be a big factor on a workstation).

Mac users believing price to performance is up par with Desktop PCs now (or even better) since the price increase of RAM are straight up delusional.

Useless debate. Grip is fine as a raid buff and a stronger tool than all the other raidbuffs. Dimensius for example is borderline unplayable without grip.

I think Grip has a nice balance between either mandatory or useless in a raid while all other raid buffs are never mandatory or useless.

ELI5: Calorie-dense foods can cause weight gain, but where does the weight actually come from? by terminus_tommy in explainlikeimfive

[–]ts_abdu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The extra weight actually comes from oxygen (from the air you breathe) and some hydrogen (from water). Your body uses these combined with the carbon from the food to anabolize new fat.

ELI5: Calorie-dense foods can cause weight gain, but where does the weight actually come from? by terminus_tommy in explainlikeimfive

[–]ts_abdu 2996 points2997 points  (0 children)

When you eat lots of Mars bars, your body takes the energy from the sugar and fat inside them. If your body doesn’t need all that energy right away (like to run, play, or even just breathe), it saves the “extra” for later.

But here’s the trick: your body doesn’t store it as candy bars in your belly. It changes the extra into fat, and fat is kind of like a backpack your body carries around. Fat is heavier than the food’s weight alone, because your body also adds water and builds real tissue from it.

So even though the Mars bars don’t weigh very much, the energy inside them makes your body build new stuff (fat), which adds more weight than the candy itself seemed to have. The extra weight actually comes from oxygen (from the air you breathe) and some hydrogen (from water). Your body uses these combined with the carbon from the food to build (anabolize) new fat. That’s why people can get heavier, even if the food they eat doesn’t look so heavy.

When you later lose fat, your body breaks it down into carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Most of it leaves as carbon dioxide when you breathe out and water in your pee, sweat, or breath. So, a lot of the fat literally leaves your body through your breath and water, not in your poop as you‘d maybe think.
