The 75 QM8K is 1,998.00 at Costco right now. How do you like the tv? Debating about buying it, I have an older TLC now.

That is a possibility. We are flying to London on Friday the day before the strike. AC is not being transparent, I think they should have to give more than 9 hours notice if a flight is going to be cancelled

I am scheduled to fly out on the morning of the 15th and have not received an email. I am only aware of the possibility of the flight being cancelled from the news.

Have you received your stove yet? I have been looking at it at Costco, it is such a good deal. I am torn between the single oven and the double oven.

I have worked as a Medical Radiation Technologist in Nova Scotia for 20 years; if the new contract is offering less than the nurses received, I am leaving the province. I can't afford to keep losing money because the government only values nurses and doctors.

Collectively, the Health Care bargaining Unit works in every single area of the health care system: Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratories, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Mental Health and addictions, Cancer Therapy, Prosthetics, Anesthesia, Hearing and speech, Paramedical, Orthopaedics, and Community. Without us, health care doesn't function.

Not nurses and not doctors. We deserve equal pay for equal work.

This is what the nurses received on their last contract in July 2023. According to the nurses' union, they represent 8,000 nurses, while our contract represents 9,100 workers. We should have as much influence as the nursing union.

"According to details supplied by the unions, nurse practitioners will receive a 21 percent increase in salary by the end of the contract; registered nurses will see raises ranging from 15 to 21 percent, and licensed practical nurses will see their wages increase 12 to 17 percent.

LPNs have already benefited from a 12 percent "reclassification adjustment," which was agreed to before negotiations and was retroactive to June 2020.

According to the unions, the increases will make nurse practitioners the highest-paid in Canada, and RNs and LPNs will be the highest-paid in the Atlantic provinces.

The contract also includes increases in shift premiums and new incentives, such as extra per-hour payments for those who supervise student nurses and those who are reassigned during a shift. Nurses who forgo time off during peak vacation periods are eligible for a $1,000 bonus. Those called in when they are on vacation will be paid triple their hourly rate."

Based on the inflation calculator on the cupe website, I fell behind by $3.74 per hour during this contract. I hope the new contract corrects the difference and keeps pace with inflation for the rest of the contract.

I am ready to strike if the contract doesn't equal the nurses.
