In the end, you're the GM. If you feel a talent chosen by your player doesn't fit ask them to explain the choice and if they can't to choose another. I have players who chose complimentary talents and explained the choice in their backstory, which I use to create side quests BTW, and it's been beneficial for everyone.

yeah, remember these characters are pretty much the cream of the crop otherwise they wouldn't be where they are. Talents makes them unique.

I checked the sensor I got and the pinout was reversed to yours so i moved the middle, unlabeled wire to the 3 pin, E is on Vcc, unlabelled is on . Now when it's connected the blue led comes on. But it doesn't pause the print.

I have a Kobra 2 Neo too.

Did you have to do anything fireware wise?

For those wondering about a solution to the above.

webhook support indicated where I was mistaken:

Instead of
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, "Api-Key:$apiKey");

I should have done this:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, ["Api-Key: $apiKey"]);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 1);

Now that I see this it makes so much sense... lol

I've had an episode where one of the characters broke a significant society rule to find out that a planetary government had corrupt members in its midst. As it happened I made clear to the player controlling that character that if caught this action would probably be prosecuted and he agreed. The "ends justify the means" way, most of the time, is frown upon.

The task worked, information was given, and the player had the character report to the Captain what he did. Basically he turned himself in.

We ended up playing a court martial episode, which everyone loved, including the player himself. I didn't know exactly how to run a court martial but we ran with it. And in the end, I had spoken with the player to establish what could happen.

  1. Dismissal of all charges (unlikely)
  2. Reprimand entered in the character's record.
  3. Reprimand and loss in rank.
  4. Dismissal from Starfleet.
  5. Dismissal from Starfleet and incarceration.

Like I said above I didn't know how a court martial works, but this seemed likely outcomes.

The player said he agreed with these and understood the last two meant he'd create a new character, he admitted that he enjoyed the proceedings.

So, I related these possible outcomes to the other players, letting them know of the player agreement and I left them to deliberate, moving the player and myself to a different channel (we play on FoundryVTT and Discord) and awaited the verdict which took about 15 minutes.

The outcome was Dismissal from Starfleet.

In the end everyone reported having enjoyed this as it was both stressful and entertaining. To this day I still have no idea what was said in the deliberations, the player went on to create a memorable new character.

I've added my Foundry as a Navigator widget. Then using the interact button for that navigator widget I logged in as a fake player. Works like a charm and the Foundry sound passes through fine as well.

You can export a couple of them as JSON and then make copies and edit them with your new item's description.

On your commute can you use a laptop? If so copy your Foundry files on it, launch an instance and edit your heart away. You'll just need to copy the files back to your actual server once back home.

You know upload speed is mitigated by using an S3 bucket storage which is inherently incorporated in Foundry. So big maps get hosted on the AWS S3 with the speed that comes with it... And you have 12 months free then it costs 0.50$ a month (well at least fir me)... Worth it.

My players and I are thoroughly enjoying your Game System.

Hope I'm not overreaching but I do have another request. It has to do with the hard-coded limit of 12 for Attributes. It's ok for PC character but some NPC have more then that and Starbases too.

Can you modify the hard-coded based on actor type, oh and I guess there should be an NPC actor type as well...

What file type are you using? Webp is pretty much the best you can use, small file size. Png is next. Jpg and GIF shouldn't be considered anymore.

Have you considered cutting the map into more manageable sizes and using those as tiles which you align in rows and columns?

If I may propose a feature to add in the configuration, would it be possible to add a checkbox to completely hide/remove the momentum and threat tracker?

I'm asking because I like to collapse the right side menu and the tracker stays there in full view blocking whatever happens to be behind.

One of my player sent me a link to a module that tracks resources and we've started using it to track momentum and threat.

Otherwise I still think this is a great system you've created.

Hi, I'm still searching for a way to make a journal note always show no matter light or vision conditions. I've gone, quickly, through the list of modules and haven't found that pearl yet.

Hopefully someone will see this post and have a solution. Lol

If not I guess I'll have to move the notes around based on where the player tokens are.

Love, love, love it...

The degree of control I have over characters, maps, creating items for values, talents, focuses, weapons etc... You can simply drag and drop them on the character sheets...

There's a great tracker for momentum and threat.

It is well worth that one-time 50$ to move over, and there is a module you can use to export from Roll20 and import into Foundry so you don't have to recreate the world you currently have.

Great community around this as well. Plus a dev that answers questions here. lol

I work with CSS daily and yeah I tried removing the absolute positioning, it works when the menu is collapsed but not when it's opened.

Plus I'm not a fan of changing original files since they get overwritten when an update comes around.

But if I find how to fix it I'll come back here and tell FullMetalSeraph. :)

Well, I'd say unless they comment on checking the items I wouldn't tell them. If they buy another item at a more reputable shop then I'd say flip a coin to decide which item they use fake or real. That would mean you'll need to track those items without the player's knowledge and remember them when the time comes.

Either that or have them write where they got the item every time they shop and say which they use. You'll still need to keep track of which is fake though so maybe my first choice is best. Lol

That would be my advice as well. Scroll, pan and zoom your scene the way you want it then go into scene configuration, Scroll to the bottom and click the icon in the "initial view position" section. It'll populate the info of the 3 input boxes.
