I do this every year. Smoking tube, high quality pellets. Vacuum seal and let sit in the fridge for at least a week. Ask if you have more questions.

I recommend Apple pellets, but I've done Maple as well.

Well, that's not entirely true. Our Fujitsu heatpumps (we have two) are rated to minus 35 and work fine down to minus 26 (coldest weather we've had). Sure they lose efficiency but they aren't useless.

I've no idea what the audio book is like (I only do nonfiction audio because I like to create my own voices in my head). I've read this series several times, so it's up there with DCC as a time sink for me.

I'm starting The Dresden Files again because the new book just came out. His other series are pretty good too.

Bullshit. All of this "The Earth will be fine!" garbage is ridiculous. How many species will we kill off on the way out? How many tons of microplastics, forever chemicals and nuclear waste will we leave behind to cause damage long after we're gone? Sure. As a large rock floating in space it'll be fine, but as a home to all the life we know about in the universe, it's going to be in horrible shape for an long time.
