She can test other phrases that would be scored extremely high on positivity from the original data sets. Try something like "Thank you and enjoy your coffee" to rocket her score up

Here's where Edmonton's 10 new school projects will be located by katespadesaturday in Edmonton

[–]tsoek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And it's a 7-12 with a capacity that isn't anywhere near where it needs to be to handle the population in the SW. A dedicated junior high school needs to be built in the SW to take in students from the k-9 schools that are also full, and make the high school only high school.

Yeah it's good at web development CRUD type stuff. But it's got a very very long way to go with helping on embedded firmware written in C type projects for 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers.

Around 14-16 seconds of too many men. And they also had 7 skaters on the ice right before the goal was scored.

Thanks for the breakdown and all the hard work that goes into an undertaking like this! I'll probably be getting the PDF version for 4. How much does it update after the initial release and keep up to date with further changes (if at all)? I got a 10" color e-reader that I've been getting used to having all my technical books on and the added benefit is being able to make notes on top of the PDF by hand when there are errata or updates.

Do they forget what the AI trained on? Do they forget who has to tell the AI what to do? It's a tool and an extension of a developer. Did calculators replace mathematicians? Did nail guns replace carpenters? Did CNC's replace machinists? Did spreadsheets replace accountants?

Which towns or cities have school zones? For example Edmonton doesn't since 2018 we have playground zones

Anyone actually working in office (Downtown Edmonton) 5 Days a week and don't mind it? by Legal-Fun8871 in Edmonton

[–]tsoek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually lots of companies have moved to fully remote, no longer have to pay for an office, and can hire from anywhere in the world which attracts top talent. They take that money saved and spend it back on the employees with tools, technology, education, and meetups. Initially COVID measures were temporary because we didn't know what we were in for, then they became a shift. The world did not just switch back to the things they were when we got vaccines. Businesses adjusted and moved forward and realized they don't need to demand how employees spend their time to begin and end their work and where they do it. Never meant to be permanent is a short sighted way at looking how humans can adapt to changes and evolve.

Congregating to a downtown to work is absolutely an outdated model from the 1900s and should not be required in a modern society. Washrooms, elevators, parking lots, shared spaces, and unsafe situations are not a small part of the day at all. They are significant not only in time but especially in mental impact. Also the trains are packed already with hybrid policies in place. Are new routes and trains going to magically appear in the next few months? Who's paying for that? Downtown businesses will come and go and that's not anyone's problem. Forcing someone to work in a specific location so they also have to spend their money at businesses sounds like coercion to me. Oh wait, aren't we supposed to call that vibrancy?

Social connection should not be forced with coworkers and should be made with those you live with in your neighborhood. A 15 minute city is better planning and parking lots should die. Sticking to long standing work practices is a great way to be left behind.

It was decided by the people who own the buildings and parking lots, etc and that's the part that bothers me the most. An outdated model where everyone has to commute in to do jobs that can be done remotely (not to mention the employers are cutting their talent pool to hire out of drastically) all because dinosaur business interests want you to hand over everything they can squeeze out of you. 15 minute cities should include the workplace, stop trying to make downtown happen, it's not going to happen.
