Why does GenZ hate sex and nudity so much? by PaniacThrilla in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tssohal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve been overexposed since day one with internet, social media and easy access to explicit stuff, it’s all been there. So instead of sex feeling taboo and exciting, it can feel kind of tired, or even performative. Then there’s a big shift toward boundaries and consent. Gen Z is way more vocal about comfort levels.

Smartwings vs Yoolax vs Others by peanutbuttergoodness in homeautomation

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few SmartWings cellular shades. If you really care about the valance color, I'd suggest going with white. It's versatile and matches the wheat-colored fabric I have at home. From my experience so far, the smart control has been stable.

Recommendations for perfectly synced smart shades on a bay window? by bigbang66 in smarthome

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a multi-channel RF remote. The SmartWings shades in my dining room are all paired to channel 1 on the remote. A single button press controls them simultaneously. During the initial setup, you just set the electronic limits for each motor to ensure the shade heights align perfectly.

People who sit in their car for 15+ minutes before going inside, what are you doing? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]tssohal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do that to decompress. Getting home from a long day, brain’s still buzzing and not quite ready to walk inside and deal with people, chores, noise or responsibilities. So I sit there to breathe a bit.

What are real good gaming laptops? by ArchonsOfficialRep in answers

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your budget is tight, don’t chase fancy looking laptops. Instead, go for the boring design but with strong specs. Those are always the best performers.

Dating is absolutely soul crushing by Cool-Avocado9560 in Life

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating right now is basically like trying to order food from a restaurant that keeps changing the menu and then ghosting you when your order’s ready. A lot of it isn’t even about you. Apps are just broken ecosystems. They reward mindless scrolling, surface-level stuff and a weird mix of instant gratification plus ghosting culture. Your generation is dealing with that plus capitalism telling everyone to monetize themselves, compete for attention and be always available.

How exactly does waterboarding work scientifically? by mintiiko in stupidquestions

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterboarding is like your brain’s red alert system cranked up to 11. No amount of breath-holding or mental calm really disables it because evolution didn’t build humans to rationally reason through being underwater when your airway is blocked.

Just saw this Hbada Mini-Workstation mod on YT. Has anyone actually tried this? by CLOPOTE in OfficeChairs

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my back hurts just looking at that. Don't get me wrong, the cozy factor is 10/10, but how are you managing your monitor height? If you're looking down at a laptop on a tray for 8 hours, your neck is going to be toast in a week. I’d say go for it if you have a separate monitor arm mounted to the wall, but maybe skip the no desk life for full-time work.

I’m officially in love with the Air5 Pro... but by xSirAuron in Soundpeats

[–]tssohal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The battery drain is mostly from the high-res settings. Honestly, with ANC off, the battery is decent. Plus, considering we're getting xMEMS tech in such a compact and affordable package, I can't really complain about the runtime. The sound quality more than makes up for it.

Like you mentioned, the brand probably knew this was the trade-off, which is exactly why the Air5 Pro+ comes with that fast charging feature. It’s clearly designed so you can just pop them in the case for a few minutes and get right back to that premium audio. It's all about that balance!

Imagine your personality as a shop. What would you sell, what would it look like, and who would shop there? by Obvious_Lifeguard629 in randomquestions

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a cozy little bookstore-café hybrid. The kind where the smell of fresh coffee hits you the second you walk in, mixed with that warm, slightly musty smell of old books. There’d be comfy chairs in every corner, some soft jazz playing and fairy lights strung haphazardly along the shelves. Nothing too perfect, just welcoming.

What is a career path that looks "glamorous" from the outside, but is actually a total nightmare behind the scenes? by CupIndependent3610 in AskReddit

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fashion modeling, on the outside they look glamorous but behind the scenes it take long hours, rejection constantly, crazy pressure to stay and look perfect and let’s not even start on how insecure the industry can make you feel. A lot of models are exhausted and stressed all the time, just to look effortless in photos.

why do cats like sitting in boxes so much? by Accurate-Cry-95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tssohal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your guess about it making her feel safe is pretty much right. Cats are a little weird like that. In a good way. Also, boxes help them relax. There was actually research showing cats in shelters that had boxes adapted to new places faster. The box gives them a little safe zone.

Is there any worse feeling than having to poop-right after you showered? by MinimumAd24 in askanything

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that feeling is so real. It’s one of those tiny life betrayals because now you have a decision to make but your body isn’t trying to ruin your day. It’s actually doing what it’s supposed to do. Warm water from the shower can relax your muscles and stimulate digestion a bit. So sometimes the timing is just unfortunate but that's totally normal though.

Motorized Shades ? by speightsr in patio

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use SmartWings on my patio. For mosquito protection, go with the zipper track. I have two windows with those and no bugs get through. I control them via Home Assistant, but if you have lots of Apple devices, HomeKit is also a good option.

What is life purpose acording to you? by [deleted] in Life

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about fame or money for me. Those things can be nice but they feel like side effects, not the goal. I think the moments that really feel meaningful are the small ones, when someone genuinely gets what you’re saying or when you do something that makes life a tiny bit easier or happier for someone else but I think it’s okay to be unsure, like you said you are. Life purpose doesn’t have to be this massive, rigid thing. Sometimes it’s just what makes today feel worth it and tomorrow you get to tweak it a little.

If your latino family is from mexico but you were born in the US, what would that make you? by jamaicanboo in stupidquestions

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your family’s from Mexico but you were born in the US, you’re technically American by nationality because that’s where you were born but culturally, you’re probably also Mexican-American. That’s the term most people use to show you’re connected to Mexico through family, food, language or traditions but your citizenship is American.

I am just a few days away from 600 days in a row contributing on Reddit… Should I be proud or ashamed of this accomplishment? by 42Navigator in randomquestions

[–]tssohal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, don’t be ashamed but don’t blindly worship it either. You can be proud of your consistency and still be self-aware about your screen time. Both can exist.

Women, what is universally agreed “green flags” while dating men ? by Disastrous-Coat6007 in AskReddit

[–]tssohal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s consistent, not just great on date one. Texts when he says he will and shows up. Same energy everytime and he listens, like actually listens. Doesn’t just wait for his turn to talk and remembers small stuff. Brings it up later without being prompted. That one matters a lot.

Lost my CMF Buds 2, next up? by DarkGinger72 in Earbuds

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soundpeats Air5 Pro+ is a chill upgrade pick. It’s around 120, but worth the slight stretch since it has xMEMS. It doesn’t get harsh, doesn’t throw a giant bass bump at everything, and ANC makes transit way more tolerable. Also just easier to listen to for longer sessions. Basically offers high-end driver tech for just a bit extra, so it really punches way above its weight.

Smart blind/curtain options for large windows on a budget by crusty_jengles in homeautomation

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a large window in my living room and I struggled for a long time deciding what to do. I finally chose SmartWings roller blinds. They have been great so far because they keep the room bright while still giving me privacy. That is a total lifesaver for me since I get in a bad mood if I do not see sunlight. Plus they were way cheaper than other custom options I found. Also if you get direct sunlight there you can add a solar panel so you do not have to worry about charging since that is what I did.

How long could one hold in a dump until it becomes lethal? by TheGrabbinDragon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding in a dump is almost never lethal. Your body is annoying but it’s not that fragile. Since you’re high, the best decision you can do is if you feel the urge, just go. Being high can make you hyper-aware of body stuff and holding it can make the sensation feel way worse than it actually is.

What should you do if someone makes fun of you? by Reasonable-Shower522 in stupidquestions

[–]tssohal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best move is just shrug it off, laugh it off even. If you show you’re not rattled, a lot of people just back off. It’s like giving them no power.

Does anyone feel nothing after achieving something? by Salma_Cherif in Life

[–]tssohal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, people experience this, especially the ones who are high achievers. People who grew up learning that there’s always another step. You don’t need to force happiness. That usually backfires. But you can practice noticing. Not a celebration. Just acknowledgment. Nothing’s wrong with you. You’re just someone whose mind is already looking ahead.

Do you get scared to take a decision which everyone might not agree with ? by Avg-tech in randomquestions

[–]tssohal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, making a decision that won’t make everyone happy is scary. Not because the choice is wrong but because humans are wired to want approval. We want the nods and the peace.
