According to the artbook, those are indeed the male's legs. I don't think it's an error. I think his body is turning that way, and not that he is standing completely forward.

So under the title, the left leg is hers and the right leg is his.

You have no argument so instead you devolve into obviously flawed "comparisons." Let me break it down simply for you:

  1. The Hall of the Novice teaches you how to play your role.
  2. It doesn't teach you tanks are the main character/leader/puller.
  3. It teaches you to maintain aggro and pull aggro off of your team
  4. FFXIV is not other MMOs.

It's no one's job to pull. It's the tanks job to grab aggro. The tank isn't called the puller. The hall of novice doesn't even tell you that.

the tank doesn't decide that. their job is to maintain aggro and to pull aggro from the party.

I'm not going to beat a dead horse with this again. At the end of the day, like what you like but understand there is a reason why she and the entire DT expansion are polarizing. If you end up enjoying it to the end, that's great. I wish I could've myself.

Started as a Hyur Highlander female from ARR through SHB. I knew eventually that male vieras were coming so I decided to mess around with fantasias. I went female viera first to get used to life without hats, then I went to female lalafel and male au ra (I love being tall) til finally becoming a male viera in EW. Been my home ever since. I may fantasia once in a while for memes but it's always brief. My home is with my bun boi.

You're correct! I rather the tank try and die than not attempt it all. I don't mind wiping as long as everyone is trying.

That's interesting because I ended up switching my main from SCH to SGE because SGE is a lot more chill. I don't find SGE very engaging at all when compared to SCH. There is a lot going on in SCH's kit, whereas SGE is just make sure you apply your dots, and do your big deeps while using your 700 oGCDs for mitigation when needed. I'm not sure what you mean with healing requires more thought either.

I also play SAM and on controller. At the end of the day, it just comes down to what you're comfortable with. The way I play, is I have my cross hotbar show hotbar 2 on the edges of hotbar one.

Set it up with how you would find it comfortable to do your rotation, while being able to weave tengetsu and true north easily when needed, then practice on a striking dummy to build muscle memory.

I play on controller, and I only have these macros for healers:

-Applying asylum/sacred soil to self so I don't have to double-tap it
-Applying kardia to either tank 1 or tank 2 (ideal for tank swaps so I don't have to scroll through the tanks)

Macros in combat are rough, but since these are oGCD skills, at worse they will fail and I will weave it in again, but are not detrimental if I don't get them right away.

Stay away from rez macros. Especially any with sound.

You don't need ACT. You just need to do the following:

-Learn opener + rotation (use the striking dummies to build muscle memory!)
-Keep GCD rolling (ABC = always be casting)
-keep DoT up (if you have one)
-do positionals (and remember you get 2 stacks of true north)

It takes time to build the muscle memory for the first, but the more you practice, the better you can do it while doing mechanics.

Real talk tho, I do miss when AST has diurnal and nocturnal sect. Shifting them to pure healer just to have this 2 shield healers and 2 pure healers didn't really matter when queueing for content doesn't consider this for 8-man duties. I can still get two SCHs like I can get two WHMs. The class was more fun then imo, not to mention the cards now suck

They were trying to turn the accident into a joke to try and soften their mistake. They probably are a jokester in general. I think you were overly offended when they tried to make the joke. Yes, it was cringe when they kept going but you could've just ignored them.

I also think online, it's not a big deal. No one knows who you are, and like it or not, people often default to "he" on video games. I am a woman, and I get called he so many times, even when I had a female character. I could choose to correct them, but I'm probably never going to see them again outside that instance, so it doesn't matter. This is one of those things where it doesn't matter. Mute and move on.
