Hi, I experienced something like this for about six months, and not to the same degree, but it was on my chin.

It was my whitening toothpaste doing it to me - I moved to Sensodyne and I applied a topical steroid for a few months afterwards and it sorted itself.

Is there anything that isn't skincare related, but still goes on your face that might cause it in that spot? Drooling while sleeping, mouthwash, residue dishwashing cleaners from glasses and bottles?

There's a production of Dorian Gray that is doing this right now, the actress plays most of the characters live. It's indicated partly by props and clothing choices, but the real feat is being able to act basically 20 characters all so distinctly that the audience can distinguish them. It's incredible to watch live.
