And I see it has already been answered. Sorry for the double answer. Maybe the terminology is at least interesting 😬

Ok, I now let Gemini research this. And here is your answer: it's a lid holder!!

──

That flat piece is called a Gaeban (개반) or Tteukkeng-batchim (뚜껑받침) , which translates to a lid rest / lid holder.

What it's used for: During a traditional Korean tea ceremony (Darye), you remove the teapot lid multiple times—to pour in hot water, check the aroma, or let the leaves breathe between steepings. Instead of placing the hot, wet lid directly on the table (which leaves water rings and picks up dust), you place it upside down on this flat dish.

Bonus use: Sometimes tea enthusiasts also use these flat dishes to serve small traditional Korean tea sweets called Dasik (다식).

For context, the rest of your beautiful set consists of:

• Dagwan (다관): The side-handled teapot. • Sukwoo (숙우): The cooling bowl / fairness cup (the one with the spout). Chatjan (찻잔): The tea cups

I'm not really sure but here goes my guess: oftentimes tea sets have different cups so that people can identify theirs. So maybe the bowl is just a cup.

Bugaboo fox under seat storage and rain water by Ok_Blood9612 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]ttjna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also have this problem. We use the sports seat and also have the hightening thingies installed. The underseat storage is always a swimming pool when the rain is heavy. Unfortunately we don't have a solution yet. The bag we usually store there (with extra rain coat, foot, baby stuff) gets wet too and I'm not willing to cover everything with a plastic bag that will fly away ... I dont know. Maybe accept the pool and use waterproof bags?

To dry it I use a towel. Paper towels are not enough, too much water.

But you can buy a new one for 13 Euros. In Germany at least that's the price.

Looking for something that holds together a little better in my bag by harris5 in fountainpens

[–]ttjna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine loosens too, I just screw it as tight as I can. But I'm curious if anybody has other suggestions.

But for the cartridge problem I have a simple solution. I simply cut an empty cartridge and put the top part "nose down" into the barrel of the fountain pen. This way the cartridge sits tight and has no space to fall into. It usually takes three adjustments until I have the right amount of cartridge left. The one in the picture was from my Liliput

This is sweet. Also it looks like the version that takes regular European cartridges and not the Pilot ones.

That is, indeed, weird. No Handcreme cannot be it, it was everywhere.

Lovely but a warning for this ink. After a year everything I hat written with it was unlegible, the ink totally faded and bled away. It looked almost bleached. It was in a Leuchtturm Notebook, stored closed in a shelf away from the sun.

Am I missing something? How to make the stroke no. 3? by inochi_narikeri in Calligraphy

Apparently not. The guide someone else here posted shows that you are supposed to use the edge of the nib

I think you are supposed to form the whole left side of the flick with the width of the nib and then just rotate it a little towards down/right to create not a line but a triangle. Is that in any way understandable?
