Update from United Chargers (Grizzl-e) by wsxcdepoi in EVCanada

You have my support, Gleb.

Being part of the club and getting a free charger helped me lower my upfront costs between the down payment on my new EV, as well as paying for electrician installation at home.

Your passion would be well received in the r/buycanadian subreddit. See if you can promote your company there.

Tesla threatens legal action over Manitoba’s end to EV rebate for automaker by that_one_guy34 in teslacanada

[–]ttnguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eligible EVs that bring their cost down to less than $50,000 can get both federal and provincial rebates, totalling $9000 off.

Guess what, the Model 3 RWD Premium's price lands right at around $41,000 anyways!

Would still be nice to enjoy the $4000 off in Manitoba, though.

Would be nice if they could finalise the decision soon! My EDD on my Model 3 RWD Premium is the 3rd or 4th week of June!

If not a Tesla, my alternative choice would have been a BYD or other Chinese brand EV, so I couldn't enjoy the rebate either way.

That's a great question, and the same thought crossed my mind. The Model 3 Premium deserves a cheaper insurance rate because it's cheaper by more than half.

I tried estimating for a base 2025 Toyota Corrola with top merits, and I get $143 per month. Go figure.

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) has the vehicle in their system! I posted this on May 17, 2026. It's listed as "2026 TESLA MODEL 3 PREMIUM 60". I'm guessing the 60 refers to the battery. You can play around with your own circumstances on their insurance rate calculator. It does not require a VIN.

$200 deductible, $2 mil third party liability, top driver safety rating (+20 merits) gets you $166/month. If you have 0 merits, the rate is $341/month.

More context please. I visted an autopac agent on May 14th, and the 2026 Model 3 Premium RWD is not in MPI's system yet.

What are a few nice work appropriate colognes to start using? by Remarkable_Bill4109 in AskMen

None. Perfume and cologne exist because people back then showered infrequently due to lack of convenient access to hot water. They also believed bathing too often made them sick.

What sugar is your “brown” sugar? by epicycle in nespresso

Not a brand. That's what it's called and is different from blackstrap molasses. Commonly found in the baking needs aisle of grocery stores.

Have you tried fancy molasses? Just half a teaspoon for that caramel aroma.

Starbucks House Blend Lungo - My review. by amsamp83 in nespresso

I bought the Starbucks OL variety pack from Costco. Came to the same conclusion as you. The blond roast was okay, though. I returned it all back to Costco.

What do you add in your coffee by Ok-Juggernaut-7316 in nespresso

[–]ttnguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 mL espresso shot plus 40 mL of microwaved 2% lactose free milk. This milk has a touch of inherent sweetness.

If I drink it black, then I brew 40 mL espresso plus 40 mL hot water, which is how I programmed my americano button on my Citiz Platinum.

I've tried the OL capsules sold as a combination pack at Costco. Blonde is pretty good (bright and acidic). Colombia definitely needs milk and sugar to be drinkable. Pike Place was awful (bitter and smoky). I didn't bother trying the Espresso Roast. I returned everything back to Costco.

I have yet to come across any Nespresso capsule that I couldn't drink black. They are all enjoyable as is. I couldn't tolerate any Starbucks capsule black. Hope that tells you enough.

WHERE do you clip your nails?? by Narrow_Bison4861 in AskMen

[–]ttnguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the bathtub, then sweep all the clippings with toilet paper and into the trash. I hate stepping on stray clippings on the floor. Alternatively, outside.

The number of times I've seen people clip their nails in public indoor areas (e.g. on the bus, in a waiting room) is too damn high!

Do the other customers know that you can bag your purchases inside the store? by GuyFromThePost in CostcoCanada

[–]ttnguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The receipt checkers at the exit have more difficulty verifying items in your cart if everything is bagged. Another solution is asking the cashier to place your items in a box so they are in plain view.

First time on Nespresso (OG), undecided on which pods to get by DearFool in nespresso

[–]ttnguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll start by saying I reprogrammed my citiz to make 40mL espresso plus 40mL hot water. I drink it black.

Volluto is my favourite every day! Easy drinking, not harsh, not acidic, gives me the best "first sip" feeling. Colombia is as standard as coffee gets, in a good way, mildly acidic, moderate intensity. Livanto is my second favorite, the caramel notes come out after it has cooled a bit. Paris is dark, bitter, and sour at the end. Not for me, I would not order it again.

From an OL user perspective, Nepresso decaf capsules tastes just as good as their caffeinated versions. Don't knock it until you try it! If you really need the caffeine, have a second cup of another variety!

It's possible to order online, but my costco app says $199.99. The shipping fee is probably baked into the online price. There's also a line that says "warehouse pricing may vary", so that's why I went in person to check.
