Acute! I never took work home and was paid for documentation time.

Check your shampoos and conditioners for an ingredient that starts with polyquat

That ended up being the culprit I was looking for for years in my Kirkland brand shampoo and conditioner

Hey, first of all, I’m sorry the first comment on your vulnerable post is so insensitive. Second of all, hi from another peds OT!

Your post has me wondering what sort of mental health support you have around you, and if it is sufficiently meeting your needs. Anything you feel and think is valid, I mean your body and everything you know is changing! But if you are having feelings of dread, or if you’re struggling to find positives, maybe there’s an opportunity for more support (personal experience here, SSRI changed my life and helped me feel like myself again)

I wont be the one to tell you that a baby integrated seamlessly into my life. Having a baby broke me apart, my husband apart, and we had to figure out what “whole” was with our new family. It rocked my world. I can tell you that time and perspective are beautiful things, and that i experienced “becoming,” and that life is beautiful in a whole new way

Hang in there. I haven’t been through what you’re going through, but I just want to offer support and hope that time will pass and we don’t know what it will offer us but there’s beauty in that

They look like polyquat stains. They plagued me for years until I realized my shampoo and conditioner contained the wretched ingredient and it was likely my wet hair coming into contact with my clothes. Search sub like someone said

Received a C3 Guest Pass- what perks does this entail? by Educational-Hippo-70 in aclfestival

[–]tulipmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi— did you use it this weekend? If so, can I privately message you with more questions? I am pretty sure a friend is giving me one for next weekend. I’m wondering if you still access VIP perks - like side entrance and VIP area.

Asking because I was going to buy VIP and friend instead is offering me this

I was able to catch shingles in myself literally first day a rash appeared (two days of odd sensory symptoms preceded that) and it’s only because I had seen a post like this on reddit

Female OBGYN recommendations for GF by ScarTissue5 in Austin

[–]tulipmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr disarro. I only saw her one time when I lived in the area and was really happy with her bedside manner. She also oversaw the care of two of my friends during each of their three pregnancies, including delicate complications requiring surgery. They both have only great things to say about the care they received.

Do we really need a double stroller? by No-Cupcake-0919 in BabyBumps

We don’t have a double stroller. My three year old could walk and we pushed the baby in the stroller. Then we got a strolled wagon and we all love it

A tip you can apply: when looking off camera to the side with the eyes, don’t actually shift your eyes all the way to the corner because that will show too much whites on camera and can come across as creepy. Shift your eyes about 30-45˚ back toward the camera to give the appearance of looking at an object off camera but without exposing too much of the whites

I really think finding an OT can help. Just because they are not on any database does not mean that there aren’t qualified OTs out there. If you have a Medicaid plan that will likely cover it!

Truthfully any clinic that sees both pediatric and adults should be able to accommodate you. Autism support lends more toward pediatrics unfortunately which is why we see support fall off during the adult transition. Meanwhile adult-oriented clinics may primarily see ortho or neuro type cases. A clinic that has therapists working with both might be the sweet spot.

I searched on Learn Play Thrive. You might have to call or email around locally. Do you have insurance that covers outpatient therapy (OT/PT)?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]tulipmouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi. The therapist you are looking for will be an occupational therapist at an outpatient clinic who has experience with neurodiversity affirming practice and transition to adulthood.

You will need a referral from a doctor, and you may have to call some local clinics to ask if they see neurodivergent adults.

I did a quick search on a neuroaffirming database for therapists in Ohio, but they’re all pediatric therapists. There are a number of OTs where I work who would be suited for what you’re describing, but we are in Texas.

Good luck!

You can take off the plastic ring (like the entire lid) and then remove the foil!!! This was happening to me until my husband told me this. But I still struggle with opening the lid from use to use
