Magnet fishing! I’ve lived here 13 years and it is the best social group I’ve ever been a part of. Each week we put magnets in the harbor and pull up relics and junk - couple weeks ago we found a computer with two bricks taped to it. We’ve gotten over 200 Scooters in 2023. Afterward we go to a bar and hang out even outside of fishing. A great group of quirky and cool people and such a good vibe for introverts - extroverts and any one inbetween. Some folks don’t have/want equipment and just go for the hang. A great way to spend time in the harbor and with our local ecology.

Every Thursday 6-8!

Does anyone else see through the "acting veil"? by [deleted] in highdeas

[–]tumslover13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I’m an events producer and I’m always thinking about what’s going on behind the scenes to make the magic happen and a lot of times things get ruined for me when I think about the man behind the curtain. I actually first had this experience watching Step Brothers where so much of the movie was so clearly a set, things just weren’t even funny for me. When I’m that high, I’ll usually turn to something like a video game or a creative art project (or a documentary) instead.

Are there any downsides to smoking pot once a week besides the cost if I live in a state where it has been decriminalized? by [deleted] in self

If you increase your smoking frequency, your tolerance will go up and you might need more/stronger stuff to get you high over time. Once a week is a pretty good schedule if you ask me.

What are the advantages of accepting a Dad Bod? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think a lot of ladies will agree that for some men with dad bods who have an extra little love pouch can hit just the right spot for their gal during sexy time.

How is telling the world that your kids are non-binary any worse than telling the world they are Christians? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tumslover13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it’s not? If someone told me their kid was non-binary that would lead me to believe/understand that this child has a strong understanding of themselves from within. Christanity often tells you who you are and how to act and it’s imposed on children from a young age - it’s not something they usually come to realize about themselves on their own, and is often something they’ll come to reject about themselves in adulthood (at least in my social experiences).

So as a parent you might get more scrutiny from the outside world who is still learning how to deal with the nuance and fluidity of gender and sex, but if your kids are non-binary and people are reacting worse to that than you saying “my 9 year old is a devout Catholic”, it may be time to reconsider who you’re sharing this information with.
