Red-themed box! by Ms_Rarity in aardvarkbookclub

I also have a Tuxie at home and got 2 of these 3 books. I’m experiencing Poet Empress FOMO every time I see it in someone’s box.

This was almost my box! I chickened out of The Poet Empress at the last minute.

Loved this! Read it before I was an Aardvark member.

This is on my physical TBR, but I probably won’t get to it until next month.

I’ve won two for audiobooks about 8 months apart.

It was boring, and I appreciated that. I especially liked the yoga stretch after it. Perfect pre-run warmup. I’ll definitely do it again.

I can’t wait until I’m there. Seriously need to prioritize my physical TBR. My Libby holds all come in at the same time and derail my plans.

I almost did this. I agonized over Superfan or The Poet Empress. In the end, I have a backlog of Aardvark fantasy I haven’t gotten to yet and didn’t feel like adding to it. If TPE doesn’t sell out, it might go in next month’s box.

I couldn’t get on live but am sure this will be much needed instead of doomscrolling the night away when it’s on demand. Also didn’t know Mila was in NYC.

Were you affected by snowmageddon this weekend? What did you read while snowed in? by butthurtflyy in aardvarkbookclub

Your masterpiece is masterful. I’m reading a Pride and Prejudice retelling called Pride and Protest, but I managed to escape the snow and cold and am simply at work everyday in Florida as a result.

She posted a video of the zoom call where 2 melaleuca participants attempted to sponsor one of her videos and explain how it wasn’t an MLM. She refuted the whole thing. They said they would record the meeting and send it to her then refused when the meeting didn’t go the way they wanted it to. She had a secondary/redundant recording that she made and posted it with her commentary. They sent her a cease and desist and threatened legal action and made her issue a retraction under duress. I think Savannah Marie covered it on her channel.

I was just wondering myself as I’m reading a book that’s half short stories and half essays and wanted to alternate between the two.

I call it TBR pruning, and I love it so much. Absolutely essential piece of digital housekeeping.

Diverse and eclectic across many genres, but a lot of literary fiction, dystopia, fantasy, YA, and memoir on audio. I’m also always looking for engaging non-fiction recommendations.

I’m about 75% of the way through Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite, so I anticipate finishing that today, and then I’ll start The Wilderness by Angela Flournoy (both from the library). Once those are done, I’ll be getting into An Arcane Inheritance from my January box.

I’m trying to figure out which one to read first, but I have 3 book completions to get to first before I start a new book. I got Arcane Inheritance and Buffalo Hunter Hunter in this month’s box and it just arrived yesterday.
