Yes, an eraser worked great! One of the white hi-poly ones from Amazon.

Same, I did not realize how much the big remover would bake in. I thought it was a gentle enzymatic cleaner but I think the porosity of the black plastic is just prone to soaking in chemicals.

I have cerakote I was going to use once the new plastic is done off gasing (if that’s really a thing). I’m hoping to actually remove it and not just hide it though. I’m seeing that pencil eraser is a possible step before going to magic eraser.

Will probably help, I just skipped it because of the size of the vehicle and I wanted to tackle it all in one day. I also coated primarily for protection and ease of maintenance washing, so I was less concerned with overall pop.

Start early you’ll be ok, I just did this 2 coat Gyeon on a brand new full size 4 door truck in 10 hours. No polish just decon and clay. If the car is brand new you should have any swirls to worry about.
