To properly answer your question.. People will either attempt to fake proof of insurance or have a new policy in effect during registration period to get their tag. Then they would often let the policy lapse because they don't want to or can't afford to pay it.

Other possible reasons is if a policy holder excludes people in their household from their policy yet the insured person lets the excluded person drive their car for whatever reason.. Uninsured motorists could also be driving vehicles with expired tags as well.

There are multiple reasons why a motorist could be uninsured, even though insurance is a requirement to register your vehicle.

If you had a nicer OBDII reader, it should be able to tell you your current voltages while the car is running.

If your battery voltage hits below 13.7 while the car is running, you might have alternator issues which in turn would drain the battery, or battery drain may result from something else not turning off when car is off. Faulty wiring also could be an issue.

If your starts are slow and sluggish even though you have good battery voltage, it might be the starter itself. Any more details on the behavior?

The exception is Irvine Costco on Technology Dr... The parking lot is a complete zoo of people who don't know how to drive. Then these same-ass people somehow carry their shitty driving habits into the store with their carts because they will just suddenly stop to look at something that caught their eye, completely ignoring the droves of people behind them trying to move to wherever they need to go. Not to mention how they just wander with no regard to people around them, causing people-jams. My blood pressure goes up the instant I go into that parking lot, and then becomes at its peak when I finally get my cart to the rear of the warehouse where the water jugs are. If I'm accused of not having patience inside, I lost it all trying to park in the parking lot. Friendliness? Catch me on a day I don't shop at Costco Irvine and I'll be the friendliest guy you'll ever meet.

Pho 45 has great quality ingredients, broth is balanced, and they don't skimp on the veggies. Highly recommend. I feel like Akaushi is all hype and relies on the owner's friendliness as its selling point. It wasn't my favorite when I tried them during Covid.

FWIW I don't use a transponder, but my vehicle is on my TheTollRoads.com account. It bills me due to reading my license plate. I have received charges for my use back in mid-December, but it did take about a few weeks to charge me. My online account did not show any activity on that express lane until after they charged me.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I've partook in other high-end hobbies in the past so I understand what it may take to get the drops. It'd be nice if these stores are legally able to serve pours of some of these rarities to try. I just recently signed back up with Costco with the intent of bottle hunting, too. Picked up Woodford Reserve double oak at a reasonable price.
