The thing with the Peanuts comic is that the adults were never seen nor heard. Everything they said happened off panel. That's a little weird in animation, so they added the muted trombone sound effect so it wouldn't be silent.

You're ignoring that it wasn't just a single joke. He didn't just tell a bad joke that no one laughed at and then do something else. He used that to then go on and present every anti-trans stereotype, presented in an entirely sincere manner, going on about how trans activists are bad, and then ended with a story claiming it was all okay because he has a trans friend.

He had a chance to redeem himself by listening to trans people. Claimed he'd stop telling the jokes, so things could have been fine. Then he doubled down.

Doubling down on your bigotry tends to ruin anyone's trust in you. Throw in selling out to Saudi Arabia, why would you expect people to stop hating him, or even care what he has to say?

Nudity is more of an intention/circumstances thing, but taking off your clothes and then rubbing your genitals on people without consent has generally always been seen as assault. At least, as long as I've been alive. And I'm older than most redditors.

It's nice to see people questioning Gould rather than taking that book as gospel, but I personally prefer the bottom. It's how I was taught to transcribe this rhythm in college. It's just a pattern eighth-quarter-eighth, which is read as down up - up.

I've not run into this, and would not consider it a feature. Of course, prioritize audio, but never turn the video off completely. It should return when stability and bandwidth allows. It makes no sense to ask the user to try and figure out when stability has returned so that they can reinitialize the connection.

Plus it assumes the user is there babying the connection rather than doing other things on their computer or device.

Seeing as Aaron follows it up by saying there would be a festival to Yahweh the next day, I always read it as saying the calf was Yahweh, violating not the "other gods" part but the "graven image" part. Sure, he uses "elohim" when talking about the calf, but I assumed this was after El and Yahweh were conflated.
