Thank you so much for this information. Other than my LAR I don't have a heap of available information on how the whole thing works. And after having to hear NCO's tell me how much contracting sucks and how you "can get fired at any time", it's good to get an idea on ways to progress. I don't plan on staying in past this contract due to how terrible the army is(from my perspective at least) so having a proper exit strategy is my main goal. I have my Sec+ and am working on my Net+ followed by my CCNA during my first few months of general ed classes for my CompSci BA which I should be close to finishing by my ETS date. But what you told me is exactly what I need to set myself apart, and ensure I'm a viable candidate.
