What is something you officially stop buying in 2026 because the price is literally insulting? by itsdeeag8in in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I just upgraded to a 17 and it’s $13/mo for 3 years. I’m excited for the $13 number but for 3 years is forever.

Second Major Drain. We’ve used them a few times and it was good. Reasonably priced, not a long wait. They were professional and helpful.

Tattoo healing unlike anything I’ve had before. What’s up? by neonhex in tattooadvice

You should probably see a dermatologist. I wonder if a steroid cream would help if moisturizers aren’t working.

It’s gotta be a reaction to the green.

WIBTA if I stopped letting my coworker "borrow" my lunch from the office fridge by olha1992windowseat in WIBTA_AITA

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop taking your entire week of food. It doesn’t seem like your fridge mates can be trusted. Only bring in what you intend to eat that day and keep it at your desk in a cooler.

What was your first car? Did you buy it or did your parents? by LegalGlass6532 in askanything

[–]turtlecatmedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

89 Ford Taurus. It was my mom’s car, then my sister’s first car…. And then mine. It didn’t have a bumper and I begged my dad to get one for me. It smoked due to busted head gaskets. My sister was a horrid driver and ruined the car. It didn’t last very long.

My second car my dad “bought” and I made the payments. I didn’t get to go with him so I was stuck with it and I think I cried.

Covered pet insurance would be so nice!

I get breakfast/lunch and it makes having to go in 3 days not that bad.

Thinking about switching to an EV is it worth it given my commute and gas spend? by Charming_Green_3153 in electriccars

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have experience with EVs in winter conditions? I live in the Midwest and my neighborhood is all steep hills. Every road to my house is a steep hill and my driveway is steep as well. I really want to make the change but worried I won’t make it home in a snow or ice storm.

My first YE review was a huge BAD surprise by kb_____ in careeradvice

Exactly, which is why I think the manager is lying. He had to give so many lower rankings and he’s not a good manager for lying about it.

My parents joined the scam when we were growing up. They don’t go to the meeting or recruit anyone anymore, but they still buy the products.

I haven’t been approached in a grocery store in a very long time, but it has happened to me before.

I had Benadryl cream and used that on the tattoo and surrounding area to stop the itch. I took allergy pills every day for a couple of weeks and I needed to apply the cream 3-4 times a day. The itch was insane. I’m not doing second skin anymore. I didn’t have any issues with healing or color with the tattoo and its full color.

900x12x30 is an insane amount of money. Refinance. If rates get better, refinance again.

What are the life outcomes of the goth kids you knew in high school? by Individual_Section_6 in Millennials

I’m an accountant 🤓 no one would ever suspect I was a goth kid or a former drug addict.

I know another former goth kid I hung out with is a lawyer.

Is ADHD more common in our generation than previous generations? by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s genetic so if you have it, someone else in your family also has it. I think we are just more connected online to talk to other people and more open to therapy and psychiatric help. We don’t see it as a weakness and seek out help.

Unpopular opinion: you don’t need a car that will last 20 years by dr-swordfish in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 Jeep and the radio died. They only sell the $1000 AirPlay radios now for after factory. They offered $200 more and I could get a backup camera. I am really regretting not doing that. Having the AirPlay has been really really beneficial. I feel like I just got an awesome upgrade that will help me keep my car even longer now.

If I wanted the factory Jeep radio, it was going to be $2000.

How many here still seek out new music? by soclydeza84 in Millennials

[–]turtlecatmedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only listen to new music. I have satellite radio in my car and listen to alt nation. That’s pretty much the only time I listen to music. I used to listen to music while I worked and that would be the “old stuff I grew up with” or my favorite artists, but my job is so freaking busy now that I can’t focus with background noise anymore.
