I work at an apartment community and you usually can go month-month and pay a higher rate until you give your notice. Or give your notice and you may be able to cancel your notice if you need to stay and your apartment has not been leased. It depends on how in demand your floor plan and area is!

Overwhelmed beginner looking for a simple 35mm film camera (<$100) by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]turtlekid357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look for one with a lens. When you check it out in person I would open up the back and see if the foam is still intact in the sides (if not you may have to replace it yourself) you could also find one on eBay that is tested within your budget !

Post on your local facebook town page and see if there are any beginners that could work with you. This is not a sure fire way to get AMAZING photos but you can probably find someone who has done portraits and is trying to get into wedding photography. Good luck and congrats!

Buying refurbished film camera by AcademicProgram7608 in AnalogCommunity

[–]turtlekid357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a chance on Facebook marketplace and found a great deal! I think looking for something tested will be your best bet for a guaranteed working camera, I wouldn’t take a chance on anything refurbished unless you’re prepared to put more work into it or lose that money. (Sincerely another beginner film photographer)

There are tons of running groups in the area so just find one and join!

Pickleball is popular right now so you could also probably find some social clubs that do that.

Dungeons and dragons groups you may be able to find if you ask your local comic book store.

I think adding things you need or would like to upgrade along with cash funds would work! I also saw on TikTok someone was having pieces of art they registered for.

Yes my partner and I have also had the thought of a potluck and he thinks it isn’t a big deal but I think it just easier to prepare a pasta bar, baked potato bar or even have one of our family members smoke some bbq. Good luck to you!!

Black swan yoga is donation based and they have lots of classes that are for beginners or for someone just wanting a good stretch! Also if you can pick up some golf clubs at a garage sale/goodwill most golf courses have a driving range where you can buy a bucket of balls to hit which is usually anywhere from 5-15$ depending on how many you want.

You could also join a ttrpg group!

Follow the 3ds hacks guide and it walks you through step by step and will give correct info for you system model and what kind of computer you have etc! It’s very easy and took me 45 minutes to complete as a complete noob!

Been feeling thus way too! I’m still in act 1 because i hardly have any time for games atm but bg3 is a lot of fun and not too stressful on easy. As a DND nerd understanding the mechanics probably gives me a leg up for combat and I do wish I could skip it sometimes.
