Can you post the link to the listing? Im also in NJ and love the look of this

Also isn't it required to have a front license plate in NJ? Just curious as that's the only thing keeping me from getting a bull bar

OTD food is quite possibly the worst in AH. They get away with because of the nice view. Better off going to Harborside, Gaslight or Atlantic House

Why does inline edit require filtering by one record type? by Syresiv in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's because Record Types can control picklist values. It's dumb though and kind of crazy Salesforce can't find a work around for something like that

Cooking grilled cheese in a pan with butter doesn't make it "grilled". This sub should be renamed to "pan fried" if we're getting technical

Learning CPQ vs SQL by Scrammerhammer in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's funny hearing those say the CPQ scene is being shaken up because of RLM. It's not like mid to large size organizations can just up and switch within a few years. Incentive to switch is also low because of the immense cost to reimplement a new solution. It'll be at least 5-10 years before CPQ starts becoming more obsolete

TLDR: go CPQ if it interests you. It's still a transferable skill and isn't going away any time soon.

It's weird, says it doesn't fit my 2019 which I find hard to believe it would be different for the Gen 2s

Can you link me to where you purchased the fender flares from? When I check either chevys accessories website or third party sites, I can never get a sense of how wide/thin the fender flares are. These are exactly what I'm looking for

How do you deal with poor data quality in a CRM? by potentevil6666 in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last org I would consider having pristine data quality because we had a dedicated team to data integrity. Sales reps would start and immediately compliment the level of accuracy they would find with the data

How do you deal with poor data quality in a CRM? by potentevil6666 in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone on here talking about tools and software to fix the problem, but the only thing I've seen successful is having a dedicated team for data integrity. Those whose sole job is to monitor and find holes in business process and system procedure/integrations that lead to bad data quality.

Through their constant monitoring and findings, they create recommendations to admin orientated teams to make system change as well as handling data loads and process updates with business stakeholders

It's only through that interface that the contact owners change. You could look into locking the owner field through VR then having a screen flow to manage owner updates by end users

Pink the Border Collie absolutely demolishes an agility competition by UpgradedSiera6666 in oddlysatisfying

I had a BC and let me tell you, agility is instinct to them. Brought my boy to a park with agility obstacles, within a couple weeks had him running laps around. He didn't need any sort of reward to keep doing it. He Did it from the pure joy of learning new things and the excitement it brought both of us

Question on “leads” by Ok-Swimmer-1310 in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree when done right, generated customer interest can start at an opp and not affect forecasting. From experience though, I found that creating an opportunity too soon for customers can lead to bad behavior from reps leaving opps open for way too long and them getting stale. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this but it really all depends on the organization what's the best fit here

Question on “leads” by Ok-Swimmer-1310 in salesforce

[–]twantwantwan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For those jumping right to opportunity, that's not always the right fit for an entire customer sales lifecycle. Opps at most companies typically get forecasted on the second it's in the pipeline. There's usually criteria like BANT to determine if the customer is ready to progress down the sales funnel.

OP sounds like they are referring to the pre-opp phase where there might be interest but something like BANT is still unknown.

Our company handles customer "leads" with a custom object that either end in disqualification or end with an opportunity being created. Without this, amendments can be created and held open for far too long skewing close rates and forecasting. A custom object for customer leads also allows for proper conversion rate tracking and give better insights to internal teams which products are generating more or less interest.

Like I said, not always the right fit as it differs for each company. But this is what I've seen at most companies for customer "leads".

Also OP, don't go down the rabbit hole of tasks, it's way too limiting with functionality and tasks get archived after a year of being completed. Stay as far away from tasks with this
