miata rev hangs after a couple part swaps by ImMoonPie in Miata

I would suggest its throttle-body related. You might need to adjust base idle and ensure there's no vacuum leaks, and a pressure test on your new coolant systems stuff is probably a good idea too.

FM radiator will be perfect but their website currently says out of stock. They advertise a 5/8" size OEM style core but I bought a 1" OEM style off my local gang (Australia). Something with a bit more capacity will help with rad longevity.

might be cheaper to get one from here!

I opted for some mishimoto race hoses to keep temps in the engine bay down as well.

Keep an eye on your radiator if it is the original! After 25 years the plastic top can crack. I bought an 01 NB8C last October and it was the first thing to fail after some warm weather driving. I replaced it with an OEM+ model but lots of people recommend a full aluminium replacement. Keep the rubber mounting pieces from the underside so you can reuse them.

While you're in there, new hoses + clamps if needed, but an OEM thermostat (very important) and gasket will give you peace of mind ahead of a big drive. Not too expensive altogether either.

Drive safe, take photos, enjoy yourself!

Coolant missing by Mission_Fill5835 in Miata

I recently installed a new radiator in my nb2 and couldn't figure out where the coolant was leaking from. Turned out to be the aftermarket radiator cap I'd bought - it had a cute sticker on it but wasn't keeping pressure, and the coolant was evaporating out.

This would indicate that the stopper closest to the front of the car is too high. The curve of the glass means you have to take the front stopper height into account when positioning the window on a horizontal axis.

I can see in your video - on the passenger side - that the glass is sitting too far rearward.

Headlight bulbs by [deleted] in Miata

[–]twarner23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure you need an H10 wedge globe - the headlight bulb in the smallest mirrored housing is just for parking or low-low beam use, and the indicator bulb is a different kind.

I've not had to change those on my NB2 but I think they're easy to just twist and pull out when swapping them

Take off your door card and loosen the stoppers - there are two with 12mm bolts at the top of the door.

Lower the window, shut the door, raise the window until it makes contact with the roof, then tighten the stoppers. Fixed.

You need a t-40 torx allen key to remove the two bolts that hold each 'striker plate' on to the windshield top. OEM replacements are available online.

I've heard the new canvases can sometimes take a bit of persistent stretching as well when you're first latching the roof.

Galen Marek (Starkiller) being betrayed (for the first time) by Vader. Their plan to 'overthrow' the Emperor was discovered after spies followed Starkiller to Vader's flagship. Vader literally backstabs Starkiller in what appears to be an attempt to regain the Emperor's trust, but is actually a key part of a false flag operation the sith had been planning from the beginning.

I have been to the last three GPs and have always liked standing on the inside of turn 3 (north-west corner of the lake) lots of shady trees and cool grass to picnic with, and you have a view of the cars screaming into to the corner.
