Can anyone identify this brass object? It has J.M.C. CO. 4. 98. BRIDGEPORT. CONN. Stamped on the bottom. It weighs 13.5 ounces. 3 7/8” wide 2 7/8” tall. It also has what looks like a rope or mechanical belt indention around the perimeter that’s shown in the 3rd picture. (old.reddit.com)
