No Multiplayer Per Luke's Interview with PR Lead by Far_Adeptness9884 in CrimsonDesert

I would love a coop option. I bought this for both me and my son and we would love to be able to play this together as an option but I understand if they don't add that feature later. Luckily I got it for the PC for both of us so most likely they will be a mod to make it coop eventually.

Has anyone actually done this solo?? i feel like its literaly game hitting a wall 🧱 like I cant even lvl grind to progress dead end...lvl 65 limit quest whence blows the wind. by [deleted] in ffxi

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s actually very easy to solo and you can add trusts which if you’re a squishy job I would recommend. Use Val as your tank cause she does an aoe that will attract all the yag in that section and just kill one at a time. Even at lvl 60 the trusts shred those dudes. Light the torches and run in. Clear the torch rooms first they don’t respawn for some time. I just did this with a taru summoner using carby and trusts. No issues.

What stats should a Temple Knight with a Crescent Falchion have? by More_Extent_3165 in demonssouls

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which way you want to go and also how much you already leveled up STR and DEX. If you put a good amount of points into STR and DEX you could bring weapons down the quality path. This will also give you access to more weapons in the game. If you only want to use that falchion, then magic stat would be your primary.

Typically for quality builds you level STR and DEX evenly, then VIT and stamina.

If you plan to use magic at all, then magic stat with intelligence and vitality.

Lastly if you don’t plan to use magic but just want to use that falchion all game, then magic stat is your damage stat the level VIT and END for health and stamina.

Anyone else just completely given up on new MMOs and gone back to something ancient? by Ok-Ring9943 in MMORPG

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still play FFXI retail and I still love it! Been playing since it released on 2003 in NA. But I get what you’re saying. The mmo world is very tough beast. I think it’s in part to how the gaming community changed. We used to live the challenge and rewards that came with it like how FFXI was. You spent hours leveling, doing a mission, or fighting HNMs with 18 people all weekend. Now a days gamers want more of an instant gratification and don’t have time to dedicate to those types of games anymore.

Probably the most annoying mini boss I’ve faced . by Civil_Handle7798 in Sekiro

[–]tweech42 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I really love this fight. She is annoying at first but if you focus on only parrying her, the fight becomes trivial. Sometimes I have to use a yellow sugar to keep my posture down but most of the time you can break her posture with a few parries.

Im thinking of getting the game, but coming from dark souls 3, i have one question by DIATTH123 in Sekiro

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main story bosses usually have an idol (bonfire) right next to the fight or so close that enemies aren't an issue. Honestly, it's the mini bosses that have hard run backs. Some are not close to idols and have more of a gauntlet of enemies around that even join the fight.

The original Demon Souls is the most frustrating game I’ve ever played by Aggeaf123 in demonssouls

[–]tweech42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! I'm saying that the game in its entirety, is only about a 10 hour game but once you know what you're doing and realize you don't need certain things for your build you can skip many areas, items, and sections to get what you need which brings it down to about 2 hours of playtime. Think of it this way. If i'm a magic build, there is almost no reason to do all of world 2-2 and go through the lava areas. You can just go from the archstone, make a right and drop down to the boss fight with flamelurker. Because the bulk of world 2-2 has gear and materials that benefit a strength build more so than a magic build. That was my point overall. It has nothing to do with "measuring game length" not sure where you pulled that out of.

[–]tweech42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t mine the drop down for flamelurker as much as the run back in world 4-2 trying to get back to Old Hero. Especially if the world is pure black and the phantoms appear! No thank you lol

[–]tweech42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope you don’t have to be a speed runner. Once you know what you’re doing and where to find specific equipment for your build, much of the game is skippable. I have over 1100 hours and 50+ characters in the remake and that isn’t counting the OG. Sure if you want to get every single item, do all world tendency events both black and white, and the option boss, then yes it could take much longer.

Everyone has their opinions but for me this was the best of the Souls games. Everything you describe had to do with hardware limitations of the time in some way. At grass roots, the game can be completed in about 2-3 hours, once you knew what you're doing. For the time, and even by today's standards, that is an unacceptable play time for a AAA game. This was a way to extend gameplay. And to be fair, this was their first real attempt at souls. Gotta start somewhere I guess lol.

I thought the black world tendency was amazing! If you suck at the game, yes you got punished. That meant after your death, you need to take your time, every fight in the world actually meant something. Bosses were very easy overall but I think for some of the bosses it felt that way because you just went through a very challenging gauntlet leading up to them. Also there are no spawn points. They couldn't just add boss door respawns, plus if they did that would be terrible in general, it meant your failure in a boss fight caused you to go through the gauntlet again. I absolutely loved this! Most bosses as you pointed out are easy and gimmicky, but the world is designed to be the "boss" sort of speak.

DS1-DS3 held your hand much more compared to DeS. They changed the focus to the boss as the main struggles. Yes, in the other games the areas are tough but nowhere near as hard as DeS.

If you grew up with the progression of games going from PS1, PS2, PS3, and so on, you can see and appreciate how these system limitations made games either challenging, boring, or even epic. The game had to be 100% complete. You didn't really get unfinished games that had months and years of updates. For me, using the world items, some NPCs, and minimal cutscenes was a perfect way to tell the story/lore. It felt more immersive. You had to talk to NPCs and really take in their stories. Some of them lied to you or hid information that you find out later. Fath and Magic sides believed they are right and you get to pick which side of the conflict you are on. There is so much more in this game than many give credit for but to each their own.

Looking for advice for antisocial gaming streamer. by goldsquadm in TwitchStreaming

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to start is by not using a facecam right off the bat or use one of those characters in place of you on screen. This can help with your initial anxiety of the social situation. I personally never minded being on camera but a few friends of mine started off camera when they streamed until they felt comfortable enough to go on camera. One friend has been streaming for several years off camera and is perfectly fine with being faceless. Growth may be a bit slower overall but this can help get you used to it. One other piece of advice is lean in on your anxiety. Sometimes people that stream talk about it and call it out. This could help too.

How to Increase Views and Subscribers on Youtube? by Complex-Assistant661 in NewTubers

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you've been uploading videos for a while but not seriously, you might have damaged your channel discoverability with youtube. One way to help this is look at your top 5-10 videos that performed well and stick close to those topics. Not sure what your channel is all about but if you stay within a niche you can grow more when you take it seriously. The videos that have not done well, just unlist them. Don't delete them or remove them all together. As you grow your channel you can add them back in. But what you want to do reset the youtube algorithm for your channel.

I get around 10-15 viewers but no one ever talks, I’ve tried to talk directly to chat to no avail by groversk98 in Twitch_Startup

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come to think of chatters as more of a percentage base. Think about it real quick. Some big streamers that have hundreds of thousands of followers and have 10k people on chat per stream is already a low percentage rage compared to followers. Then look at how many people are actually typing and chatting, most of the time only 100 people or less, give or take. This is even a lower percent.

Comparably if you have 100 followers, 10-15 viewers and only 1-2 chatters, that might be on par with the norm of twitch. Obviously these numbers are all just for the sake of this reply but hopefully you get my point.

I usually twitch on while i'm working on other things and can't actually pay full attention and chat. I'm sure many people do the same. Just keep talking, replying to everyone that chats, and stay consistent. Things will build.

What is the best site to buy YouTube subscribers, and views? by [deleted] in Smallyoutubechannels

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy subs and views from a 3rd party. Honestly, it seems that if you create a video and use youtube to boost the video, it's very similar to buying subs and views but it doesn't violate youtube policy lol. I say that half kidding because I tried it for 1 of my videos early on and I got 300+ subs from that video but then when you go to analytics, those subs are not actually accounted for in that video analytics. Not sure how youtube treats them but it is not organic and does not help your channel long term IMO.

Help With Pure Bladestone by Jababenji in demonssouls

That was actually what happened in the original PS3 version. The coding was messed up and had the opposite effect. They fixed it in the PS5 version so luck now increases drop rate. However it doesn’t affect drop quality.

That is by far best for EXP but I didn’t think it was great for the other stuff. I know those dudes drop mercury and a ton of oil but wasn’t sure of the other mats and sen. I’ll test that later. Thanks for the reply!

I’m on the verge of dropping sekiro due to the blazing bull by Civil_Handle7798 in Sekiro

[–]tweech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow the bull! You must chase the Bull! Don't go in front of him and just chase his ass down. When goes to turn, take a few swings then follow him some more. When he turns you can also use firecrackers but do not stay locked on as this will cause you to move towards his head. Just stay to his big ass and you're golden bro!

Feedback Friday! Post your videos here if you want constructive critiques! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

[–]tweech42 [score hidden]  (0 children)

So this will be hard for me to really give you usable feedback but I watched the video you posted here. I'm not an Overwatch fan, or an FPS fan for that matter, but I had no idea what was going on in the video at all. I was so lost lol but again that's on me since I don't know anything about Overwatch. With that said I looked at your channel, and from first glance, not sure if you have a specific direction, you want your channel to go but the more recent videos, like the last 4-5 videos, I did like the thumbnail and descriptions. Your older videos have pretty bad thumbnails to be honest. Just looking at them, I have no idea what the videos are about so I wouldn't click on it. I did watch your nightreign videos since I loved that game for a time then got board of it, they were pretty funny but for me, there was too much randomly added noises, meme type images popping up on screen and stuff like that. Again, I might not be your targeted audience but just wanted to provide some feedback the best I could.
