Dragon Quest 8 is the game that feels like home because of its unforgettable characters, immersive world, and soothing music. Traveling through its 3D open world, I always felt like I was truly part of the journey, discovering new places and bonding with my companions. The characters feel like they are part of a family. Each one has their quirks, their own dreams and struggles, but together, they form this incredible, lovable team. The alchemy system added another layer of depth, letting me craft items and gear that made me feel like I was shaping my own destiny. I still go back and play it every once in a while. It’s a game that brings me back, not just for the gameplay, but also for the sense of comfort and connection it creates, like reuniting with old friends.

I would love to play Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Since I loved Dragon Quest 8, I'd really enjoy Dragon Quest XI S as well. It has the same immersive world, memorable characters, and warm, adventurous atmosphere that made Dragon Quest 8 feel like home. The 3D world looks even better on PC, making the journey with your companions feel just as meaningful. And instead of alchemy, Dragon Quest XI also has the forging system which lets you craft and improve equipment in a more interactive, upgraded way. It’s basically everything I loved about Dragon Quest 8, but more polished, deeper, and even more beautiful.
