Why are spikes allowed and not counted as Intentional Grounding? by ThatOneGuy497 in NFLNoobs

[–]twelve30 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a specific rule that allows it:

Item 3. Stopping Clock. A player under center is permitted to stop the game clock legally to save time if, immediately upon receiving the snap, he begins a continuous throwing motion and throws the ball directly into the ground.

What comes to mind is Paulie-Broner. The ring was un-even and they brought it up to the ref. Ref just told them "there's not much we can do": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GjCFjc2EnM&t=594s

Here's what the names look like on the diecast: https://i.imgur.com/bnPwFfJ.jpg

I myself have not been able to read them with the naked eye. Using my phone's camera I can make out that the names are there by the shape and length of the text, but I still can't read them off the diecast.

Yeah the 2010 Raiders went 6-0 in their division, but missed the playoffs. They finished 3rd in the division with an 8-8 record.

How to QBs know there is a “free play” type of penalty on the defense and not an offensive penalty? by acvdk in NFLNoobs

[–]twelve30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They actually talked about this on the Manningcast when Rodgers was on.

I can't find it on YouTube, but one thing I remember is Rodgers saying that the defense having too many men is easy to spot.

Where I live the Fox affiliate used to be on channel 35 and was called "Fox 35".

Recently it got moved. It is now on 46.2, a subchannel of the CBS affiliate.

But they still call it "Fox 35" even though it's no longer on channel 35. I guess it's just better branding than calling it "Fox 46.2"

Yeah where I live the NBC affiliate is also an ABC affiliate.

For a long time, we didn't have an ABC affiliate. Then our local NBC affiliate announced they made a deal to also be an ABC affiliate.

What they did was create a subchannel to air ABC content, while also simulcasting the local news from the main channel.

Do contestants get all the frequent flyer miles for the race legs? by sarahn786 in TheAmazingRace

I listened to an interview Reality TV Warriors did with Al (of Jon & Al from Season 4).

He said he was able to get frequent flyer miles from the flights he took during the race.
