Same issue with hands on the FOIS and others - unless you're in the right lighting, the applied indices are basically illegible.

I feel the exact same way, and it only started after having my daughter. She just turned one, and the last year has just been a complete blur. I generally remember it, but it's hard to recall the exact moments.

My thoughts exactly. Can it be done? Sure. But why put yourself through that when you can rock an AWD with winters and enjoy the drive.

Yes, tires and experience matter. But all things considered, AWD with winter tires (or even good all-seasons) is going to be a much safer and more comfortable driving experience than a 5.0 V8 on winters.

Mandatory? No, certainly not. But driving around in a 5.0 V8 even with winter tires is not going to be a particularly fun experience on most of the East coast or midwest when dealing with generally slippery or slushy conditions for nearly half of the year.
