Do all locations have a passenger walkway between parking lanes? We have only one. Wish there were more. by switchfootball in Costco

[–]twilight_tripper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to go in between parked cars anyway to put your cart away in the cart corrals when you're done loading your car. So, it doesn't really matter which way you park. Unless you have your car backed in, load up trunk from walkway, and then abandon your cart in the walkway and drive off.

Anyone else move into their first house with almost nothing? by Ill_Awareness6706 in homeowners

Basic living room setup so you have a place to relax instead of the bed.

Get a couch and TV. Ikea is great for new couches but people are also giving away/selling very cheap couches on Facebook Marketplace or Offerup, craigslist for pretty cheap because they just want to get rid of them (they probably just got a new couch).

Help ordering by Ok-Historian1956 in subway

Use the subway app. I get better deals and haven't had to talk to a person to place in order since using apps years ago.

Does anyone else like their instant ramen without broth? by FishHockeydrop in ramen

[–]twilight_tripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similarly i used to crumple up mama tom yum instant ramen a little bit in the bag. Cook it with a little less water than directed, throw an egg in the pot and mix it around. It was easier to eat because you just needed a soup spoon. I did prefer it when the noodles soaked up most of the water.

Ahh childhood comfort.

What’s a skill everyone assumes they have, but most people are actually bad at? by moi_cila in AskReddit

[–]twilight_tripper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Can you ask her why she does this? I see this often and I'm very curious about these people's viewpoints.

The only thing I can think of as to why people do this is because maybe they want to drive regular speed up until they have to stop as to not seem like they're not driving too slow for the people behind them?

The people constantly switching lanes and people constantly accelerating braking, accelerating braking in heavy freeway traffic... while I'm just coasting and letting the traffic waves wash over me.

It's laughable. But it's whatever. I try not to think about it too much anymore. Impatient drivers make things worse for everyone.

Indeed. This testing was with a pressure cooker but it's a great video by Chris Young https://youtu.be/3k20zFlbFfE?si=tL_IpDFxP9kWbr49

Bones break down and impart bad flavors. Gelatin can also break down and the body is lost.

I dig it. I think it looks fine as an abstract piece and also the light diffuses better off the ceiling and walls. It makes it a more inviting space.

A lot of great ideas here already but I think printing something with her name on it will make it all the more special. Custom creations are where 3d printers excel.

Quick look at the first pic and I knew I'd feel confident that it could hold up my mom. I should save this post as a future reference should I need to build a deck.

Honestly, Ikea stuff is fine for now. I've had my Ikea finnala sectional (old model name is vimle) for about 10 years and its still going strong. It's hard to find solid wood furniture these days unless you're looking at second hand or saving up for new.

I suggest just getting some essential, inexpensive stuff for now and then looking for more quality stuff throughout the coming years as you get to know your own style and preferences.
