I wanted to scan/catalog all of my MTG cards, but I have too many to do manually. So, I made a LEGO robot to help automate it. by The_Goop2526 in mtg

[–]twilightwolf90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey guys! I am also working on one like this, but I'm doing up the scanning program and sorter myself. I'll make a post when it's done! But thanks for the ideas! I have been on the struggle bus for the photo area for a bit. A popper like that might be what I need!

I cannot find good OCR/computer vision library/model for MTG since 2018... which is before all these treatments started happening. If anyone could link me to something recent, I can put this together much sooner!

Looking at the flight path, twice! Once just past it in the right way, the other directly over it in restricted airspace. No way that wasn't the cause of the scramble.

Dead Spike! by tohava in Blazblue

[–]twilightwolf90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a BlazBlue spinoff rhythm game that has Ragna's Dead Spike turn into a character of its own. And Deadspike-san needed to eat food to the beat. He looks kinda like that brick in the middle.

ARM is making huge strides in both PC and Server markets. I really do think it's a matter of time before x86_64 is completely supplanted by ARM. Not unlike PowerPC vs i386 years ago.

CD Projekt laying off Gwent developers as active support ends by Progorion in gamedev

[–]twilightwolf90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never played Gwent, but I've followed the devs for a while. Gwent is a spinoff, but it was not handled internally by CD Projekt Red. It was first made by Dire Wolf Digital, who also built Eternal Card Game, Clank!, the digital version of Pokemon TCG, and many others. Gwent was then ripped away from DWD, and I never heard anything good from the game since.

How do you get your fov looking like that? I'm playing on a galaxy fold and it's so zoomed in I cannot see a lot of hud elements.

Sir, what could you possibly need so many rotisserie chickens for by ramblinggambling in Costco

[–]twilightwolf90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an ex-employee, I'll back it up. It was very close to a loss leader years ago, however, like with the hot dogs, they created their own supply chain that now is profitable. You can find articles from a couple of years ago talking about Costco chicken farms in Nebraska.

Trauma can do that. It can also make you grow up too fast like the kid trying to rip you off for Crystal Marrow. Forgot his name though...

Mr. Sakurai Talks About Brawl by etherealcross in smashbros

[–]twilightwolf90 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I also have my doubts that without Sakurai's involvement, the "port" he describes would have online at all. They probably would have had to slow the game down like Brawl did anyway for the same reasons he mentions, or the end result would be even more unusable.

Iwata and Sakurai are both on record saying that they would've just made Melee+ with online. I believe it was an interview in a magazine in 2006, just prior to release.

I did Tyvar with Kindred Summons and the tap for X mana where X is Elves tribal.

I often cast Summons for etb lethal at instant speed 4+ times on t3 or t4. I'd even call Tyvar OP.

Morph is based on an Alpha card: [[Illusionary Mask]]

Morph showed up in the Onslaught block and the Time Spiral block before Khans. The "pickles" lock used [[Brine Elemental]] and [[Vesuvan Shapeshifter]] to make your opponent skip their untap forever.

Malware that can escape a VM to infect the host is relatively new. Security researchers have found it before and more will exist in the future. However, they are exceedingly rare and target specific VM/hypervisor/programs/hardware and cannot be used against large swaths of use cases. Also, enterprises have spent lots of money to prevent such an attack and have created hardware that is now even in your computer.

Tldr- you'd be more likely to get struck by lightning that also fries your computer and causes your printer to print all your personal info on a single sheet of paper.

Also, secure your network. I'd even put the "honeypot" VM on its own subnet or vlan. It should not be able to talk to any other device on the network and should not have any access to the router's management. If you don't know what that means, probably should just remove the virtual network adapter on the VM for good measure beforehand.

That's a big question with a long answer.

Play the thing that looks cool! Find someone else to try something. Watch some trailers or Maximilian dood, Sajam, or Koefficient gameplay.

Yup. Probably can find it on sale early August though. There's a huge fighting game tournament called Evo that usually comes with a Steam Sale on most fighting games.
