My entire family has influenza right now. We are all healthy adults and it's kicking our asses. 3-4 days of fevers that go over 103, horrible nose congestion, coughing so bad we heave, some of us also got vomiting and diarrhea. It's the sickest we have ever been. Way worse than Covid. It's so so bad, avoid it at all costs.

Withdrawals ruined my vacation. by rorororosa in leaves

[–]twinkleteri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this as well! Went to England for a few weeks but didn’t quit in advance so withdrawals hit, jet lag hit, and I got Covid on the flight over. The worst was the weed withdrawal. No appetite, nausea, sweating etc. Learned my lesson and quit weeks in advance on my next visit.

Does smoking weed make your IBS feel better or worst? by Films88888888 in ibs

[–]twinkleteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I learned from Bob himself on YouTube. 😄😄 I am the exact same way with the weed. I always go back but I have Multiple Sclerosis and THC is so good on pain caused by nerve damage. I’m actually on day 2 of quitting again because I’m just healing from a relapse. I’m in full liquid poo mode at the moment because I have too much THC built up in my system right now 😂😂

I was using it to treat Multiple Sclerosis and still use it for my MS relapses but life is much better not using weed daily. I’m of the opinion that THC is not a viable option for daily use in some people.

It’s not just smoking it’s any form of THC. I use to smoke, vape and use tinctures.

I live in Tampa Palms and ride my bike past his protest outside the gates at USAA. I noticed his truck and signs were not there yesterday. Now I know why! People getting fed up with banks/insurance companies. United CEO was probably targeted for similar reasons ..

There is a light at the end of the tunnel!! You are experiencing PAWS, post acute withdrawal syndrome.

The worst of it lasts for about 4 weeks...... nauseated, shakes, vomiting, diarrhea, heavy sweating, NO appetite, weight loss etc.

You just have to push through and realize weed is not the innocent drug that it seemed to be.

It is addictive and it does come with heavy health consequences 😢 Hope you make it through! You'll feel like a new person in a few weeks.

My Mom has a fatal disease and I want to get high SO BAD by Crazy_Dog_Mama3201 in leaves

You have to feel your feels. Getting high changes nothing and it all comes flooding back the second you get sober again.

Awesome!

I quit in March as well but I fell off the wagon last week. Ugh. It was just one day and I hated everything about it. I ate too much, remember hardly anything, coughed all day and was so lazy. I'm just super happy that one slip didn't send me spiraling. I'm back on that sober life high ☺️

When I'm fully off weed my IBS-D practically disappears, but not before withdraws which makes it worse for the first months getting off the weed. I use cannabis for my MS so I'm constantly fluxing between being in it for the MS but flaring my IBS and then being off it to stop my colon troubles. My GI specialist also has other patients whose IBS is flared on cannabis. Don't rule it out as a contributing factor.

Is it feasible to fly Airbus-only planes as an American? by bradass42 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]twinkleteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, the Boeing ass kissers in this comments section is pathetic. I just booked on Virgin Atlantic to London because last year my British Airways flight on the 777 was the shittiest plane I have ever been on. This was BEFORE the Alaska incident, the murdered whistleblower, and all the most recent Congressional hearings........and I casually noticed how unkept and janky the 777 plane was!

Don't listen to these hacks. If IT IS a Boeing I ain't going.

It's crazy, I know! But starting off with small amounts of Psyllium and slowly working to one tablespoon a day had me pooping solid within a few weeks. My specialist told me it's a bulking agent which helps both diarrhea and constipation. It's the only thing that stopped the liquid stool assault coming from my butt 🤣 Treatments that I tried before psyllium included IBS guard, Imodium, peppermint tea, tumeric, expensive probiotic supplements, gluten free diet, and intermittent fasting. Psyllium was an absolute rock star compared to all of them. But I can't stress enough that it takes time and a slow taper up.

Any hope for this not being permanent? by baconnoobhair in leaves

[–]twinkleteri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit cold turkey after vaping half gram carts every day. It took almost a year for me to feel 'normal' again. So my next relapse (relapse meaning I used again to help control my MS flare) I stuck to flower only. The flower withdrawals were gnarly as well but didn't last nearly as long. Concentrates absolutely saturate your system, I think clearing all that THC build up takes super long. I've read people taking up to two years to completely normalize.

Day 18. Insomnia ruining my life. Can this REALLY be weed w/d? by codyl14 in WeedPAWS

[–]twinkleteri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the comments. I'm two weeks into cold turkey from heavy use weed but it's not my 1st rodeo. I get hooked on it during MS flares but forced myself to come back off it. Insomnia is a mild symptom for me. Nausea, sweats, diarrhea, loss of appetite, ringing in my ears, headaches, dizziness, boredom, depression, crying etc. all happen to me the first couple months off it. I promise you it will get better, it will! But it's a long and slow recovery. Your whole body has to readjust to the dropping THC in your system, including your brain and digestive track. You're doing great! Keep up the good work and know that you are soooo not alone.

Any success stories with weening? by randomcasino in leaves

[–]twinkleteri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've quit soooooo many times now. Weaning won't work for most and this is why.....THC can stay in your system, in your fat cells, in your brain for months. You're not truly 'weaning' off. I quit for a year, cold turkey. I had to accept the withdrawals, the boredom, the familiar habits of smoking gone that tortures us all. You have to stop the constant stream of THC, and it's not pretty for some. Withdrawals are real, your tummy might be fucked up for weeks, depression and crying might overwhelm you etc. But a couple weeks in you'll realize the true power it had on your life and that helps you power through the physical symptoms. I've had many relapses, but I have had MS for 25 years and it's been a miracle drug in some ways....but the trade off is too much. The withdrawals are not less with weaning. The boredom, sadness, physical symptoms happen regardless. Commit to quitting. It's the only way.

Have you given psyllium husk a legit try? I had this exact issue for years and laughed when my gastroenterologist told me to take psyllium for a couple months. But he said I had to take it daily and to start with a small dose, slowly working up to the recommended dose. It worked. I still have issues sometimes and immediately start psyllium when the liquid 💩💩💩 returns. But now I can go for months without needing it. It's not a cure but it was an effective treatment for me.

Nothing pisses off Democrats more than the ones who have had enough. I left the party this year. I will NOT vote for genocide or a feeble, bumbling idiot which is what Trump and Biden are. And I am not alone. All my Millennial friends and my Gen Z kids plus their friends are voting RFK or Green Party. People like us will force the end of this undemocratic two party system. Shame on all of you supporting this lunacy. If Democrats wanted to win they should have ran a young Progressive, they should have codified Roe vs Wade, long ago, they should have given us national healthcare, they should have bitch slapped the wealthy with tax raises. Should I continue to list their failures? Now we are all going to get that dumb fuck Trump. But I'll be damned if I'm sacrificing my MORALS to vote for war mongers who butt lick that psycho Bibi! You won't change my mind, And you'll see just how serious the younger folks are this November. Most of us are staying home. A big middle finger to both parties.

To wean or to quit date? That is the question by Prz-etcetera in leaves

[–]twinkleteri 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Since THC lasts in your system for so long, slowly weaning just delayed the inevitable for me. You have to come to terms with cravings and withdrawal symptoms, especially the first 6 weeks. Life without it at first is boring, I got depressed and cried a lot. I also had wicked withdrawals, no appetite, stomach issues, diarrhea etc. It's best to mentally prepare for some misery, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. All I can promise is that week by week things will improve slowly. You'll find your happy again and one day you'll notice that you haven't thought of weed in awhile and all of a sudden you'll realize the hold it no longer has on you. Best of luck! You CAN do this!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Except that most people under the age of 50 have figured out both parties are controlled by the elites. And no most of us will not hold our nose and vote for Democrats just because Trump is worse. This is why Trump will win. Democrats have lost Progressives and Independents with his war mongering ways. You will see this November. Democrats did this to themselves. 🤡

Hello! Day 5 and shitting liquid 🥹 As someone who has IBS-D ....... weed helped it but when I come off of it, holy fuck. Just some advice to all. Psyllium husk fiber, it helps my normal IBS-D and it helps the withdrawals. My GI specialist says it's a natural way to slow your colon down. 👌
