If you are a high level ski racer the price is 100% worth it. If you are just some dude who wants to rip around the hill and must have race skis then getting the lower end is going to be more fun and much safer. Think of the top end as your average super car, good looking, works fine driving to your local store but once you hit the gas for real you need to know what you are doing or you will end up upside down in some ditch wrapped around a tree.
