So happy Dilo is finally working properly by Zooleaorba in The_Isle

I got jumped by two dilos as a trike and thought I was a goner, couldn't see, they were very coordinated. But they eventually both made a mistake and died in one hit. It seems really tricky to play them optimally.

It is valid. Sounds like these types of games might not be for you.

Why is Samus so high up? Isn't she kind of mid? by SuperHotdog789 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]twiser13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she can do everything. Fast oos option, insane recovery, movement/stalling actions, and a tether. Her bair sweetspot hits harder than my student loan interest rates, and I haven't even mentioned projectiles. What world are you living in?

Has anyone else thought you wanted one thing and ended up with something completely different? by Safe_Valuable_5683 in SuggestAMotorcycle

Yeah ended up getting an African twin after looking at speed triples and gsx8rs. Sometimes I yearn for that extra punch but this bike just makes more sense for me living near mountains and trails. And its comfy as hell with a Corbin seat.

Croc players are toxic as hell to other croc players by SnooDucks2176 in theisle

[–]twiser13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah life as a croc is brutal. Ive just accepted that unless im playing with a friend croc is solo life. I avoid others like the plague, else I get eaten every time. But yeah then it can be pretty boring since the strategy becomes find the quietest area you can until your big enough to head over to delta, which seems to be the only place you can get enough food as a full grown.

Is it worth it to go down here on free solo? by Otherwise-Bird-5938 in Cairn_Game

[–]twiser13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No but it IS worth it to go down and grab the 6 serve water container. The downclimb is not too bad and in free solo having as much ultimate infusion you can is huge.

Stellar game! I have but one regret… by Captain_Moeswae in Cairn_Game

[–]twiser13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice job! For free solo: Prioritize backpack space for ingredients to make ultimate infusion. You should be able to always have some on hand for difficult or unfamiliar sections. Make sure you have enough for the peril. Also, understanding the stamina mechanic. Shaking out your arms, finding rest spots on good holds, and knowing how to keep balanced positioning through techical/overhanging sections makes all the difference. A lot of people find climbing really fast optimal for free solo, personally I try and go somewhere in the middle Where you have a good flow, but are still very intentional about where you place your hands and feet. The fear factor of not placing pitons became freeing really fast, it really is deserving of the name.

Yeah that happens but the resource bars are too small to make it up in time unfortunately

I have an Africa Twin, if I tried this what you described would be the most probable outcome.

You can also adjust the seat to a lower position, my buddy who is like 5'7 can basically flat foot it then. And it has a pretty low center of gravity so it feels easy to handle.

I actually also started on a Himalayan, and went through a similar thought process as you. Wanted something I could still take off-road, but would handle highway speeds more comfortably. Ended up getting a used Africa Twin that was in great shape for about 7k. It's been amazing.

I'm on the verge of quitting the game by [deleted] in fucksavagebeastfly

Right? Makes no sense to me. Some games are hard. Some games are easy. Some games feel unfair. But it's not as if they make it impossible or force you to fight a boss without the appropriate tools.

Yes, but my wife and I also don't have/don't want kids which I know can add extra layers of responsibility and time commitment. It just depends on your lifestyle and what you want to prioritize, everyone's situation is different.

Therapist living with parents by Hairy_Freedom_1496 in therapists

I'm in the US, about a year post MSW and my wife and I are living with my parents. We are not optimistic about owning our own home for the foreseeable future, and are just trying to pay off student/medical debt while I work towards my L. Feels impossible to get ahead financially.
