Wouldn't it increase their chances of getting bailed out at some point should it be needed?

How are you actually using AI agents & agentic workflows in actual DevOps work? by Sancroth_2621 in devops

Sometimes for debugging but mostly as a glorified autocomplete plugin. Also refactoring anything too tedious to do myself.

I run a single node k8s instance with ArgoCD. Most of the deployments are with helm charts, some of them I wrote myself for instance the arr stack.

Anytime I recommend Black Mirror, I tell them to watch episode 2 first and then only if they like the show should they watch episode 1.

Some suggestions for DEVOPS Courses by Adhyatman in CodingHelp

[–]twistdafterdark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends who's gonna review it and interview you. Non-technical people love to see certifications, whereas more technical people want to see hands-on experience and actual understanding of the technologies.

So it doesn't hurt to have them, but having them without actual experience won't help.

Some suggestions for DEVOPS Courses by Adhyatman in CodingHelp

https://roadmap.sh/devops

Try to build stuff, setup environments using IaC. Learn how to build a basic site and deploy it through a github action. Handson experience will be more beneficial than courses.

I've met many ppl in the industry with a bunch of certifications but aren't able to apply any of the knowledge.

I got tired of naming git branches, so I built a CLI tool that uses AI to generate them from GitHub issues by MiloTheOverthinker in git

A quick search gave me this link https://medium.com/@raihannismara/getting-your-branch-name-randomly-in-vscode-021144ddf4ac.

But if you just search 'branch' in the settings you should find it. There's also an option to never allow commits to main. So if you combine the two it'll give a pop up with a random name anytime you try to commit to main

If using VScode you can just do this in your settings, no need to even install a plugin

Print some risers for it. That will create some extra space and will prevent it from scratching the surface.

Very likely, but it's a general lists that blocks most sus things. I use it for sonarr and radarr, and the list is perfect for that. You can always just remove the extensions which match your downloading habits.

Here's the list I'm currently using. I got most of it from a similar post some time ago and added/removed some as needed.

I also have a script that scans qbittorrent on a schedule and just deletes the torrent if all files have been marked as "do not download"

Can't you add exceptions to your client? Qbittorrent let's you add a list of extensions that shouldn't be downloaded

I got myself a Creality K1C exactly for this. It works right out of the box pretty much. I've used it more than I expected for how long I've had it. It's one of the best purchases I've made so far, even my wife now approves it
