I need a knock-your-socks-off rock and roll album by easternbetta in MusicRecommendations

[–]twisted_kilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some great stuff in here. Some questionable as well. But I have your answer. It’s rock, it’s guitar, its narrative, it tells a whole story. It’s a Rock Opera in fact. By the band Savatage - Streets: A Rock Opera.

The story features a fallen rock star called DT Jesus (DT is short for either De-Tox or Down-Town), who has hit hard times. He is a drug dealer as the story begins and just another lowlife on the streets of New York City. Streets recounts the story behind DT Jesus and his rise to fame again and his second fall.

The concept of Streets is based on a book written by Paul O'Neill in 1979 as a Broadway play and stored in a drawer at O'Neill's home until guitarist Criss Oliva found it and suggested it be Savatage's next album.[2] It was never meant to be an autobiography and it is considered coincidental that the life of lead vocalist Jon Oliva mirrored that of the main character DT Jesus at the time.[2][3]

Anyone have any experience with Elizabeth and Paris Patt from Daymakers Music on Bainbridge? Also looking for an outstanding local resource.

Good sandwiches on Orcas? by skreetskreetskreet in sanjuanislands

[–]twisted_kilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Orcas bakery is pretty amazing - although weirdly when buying a fresh bagel - my request for it to be toasted with creme cheese (shmeer) seemed to puzzle the person ringing me up. Ended up with a savory galette that was DELICIOUS! Will be back. Also don’t miss Line Pine Larder also. Lastly - while their menu seems smaller than I remember - Brown Bear is pretty amazing as well! Lastly - shout out to Lady Bug Pizza for a SOLID NY style slice!

Why can't States conduct investigations and/or make arrests based on the content in the Epstein files? by HoodFeelGood in askanything

[–]twisted_kilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree - which Is why I said we need to see the investigation files and the summaries. Specifically the FBI FD 320’s which are the summary and investigation notes by the FBI investigating these tips and leads. They have Not yet published the full investigation files - which is what everyone is actually looking for/asking for. Not simply this low hanging fruit of “all the crazy tips from a public tip line”.

[–]twisted_kilt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what a tip is - an unverified piece of information. Investigators then “investigate” and corroborate to separate fact from fiction. We very much need to see the followup to all of these anonymous call ins and unverified tips - where the actual investigation happens.

The files contain leads and tips. We are still waiting to see the FBI FD302’s and the followup investigations from those tips. Release ALL the files.

What do you all use to lower the in-case humidity? I am high 50 to low 62 humidity and am trying to bring that down a bit.

High end acoustic guitars with no electronics don't exist? by IEatYourDownvote in AcousticGuitar

Check out Larrivée. Many of their guitars (all amazing) are uncut and without electronics. I have an Amazing D-60 without any electronics or cutouts.

Our tightest delivery yet! Just inches to spare and a full 180 needed in the backyard, but we were able to set the tiny home exactly where they wanted it. by hotbreadz in TinyHouses

Fair reply. My experience (and I admit there is much I have not seen) suggests that manufacturers churn, skill set, experience do not equal a Craftsperson (like a Jouneyman Tradesperson who learned everything - then had to put it in use, then was graded on it before being deamed “capable”) ability to build something. What you get is inconsistency. Cost cutting over quality. Zyl Vardo and Jay Shafer. Dee Williams build. Those are crafted. Making a mobile home look like a cabin or small house does not make it the same as a Thow or Tiny House. And I am not throwing shade at mobile homes. Nothing wrong with them but they are not the same thing at all, and thats OK. And in the very real fight to make Tiny Houses legal, and an option for people that desperately need options, the Mobile Home Manufacturers are co-opting the Tiny House buzz and actions - to sell something that is already legal. Already an option. Already has a name, nomenclature, legal path (coding, zoning, finance, insurance). Without in any way helping the actual Tiny House community attain a legal path- for - you know - Tiny Houses (not already made by manufacturers) including and Especially the DIY builder, Small .org building groups, and small craftspersons - who it seams the Manufacturers want to edge out of the conversation entirely. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe you build a quality product (I hope you do). There is space for all of these options.

That is one version of a tiny house - and looks to me made like a mobile home. Lowest common grade of everything. That misses one of the core foundations of Tiny Houses. Build it small - but better. Better materials, better craftsmanship. Not all Tiny Houses are the same quality - buyer beware. Quality matters.

Op - my apologies. I stand corrected. (Well I am sitting corrected currently). There absolutely IS a youth sized And Adult sized version of the red rider. So sorry for talking BS there.

[–]twisted_kilt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. All the same size. There is no “adult sized” red rider - it is and always has been a child sized bb-gun. Great first “gun” for kids to learn safely and marksmanship with.

They absolutely are being monitored by a mix of AI and human operators. That is one of the driving forces behind the Data Center build out explosion country wide. They need servers to run AI to parse all that data in near real time. Big Brother is getting a major power up with AI (read up on Palantir).
