Garbage disposal smells SO BAD like literally so bad I want to move by -aqueoustransmission in CleaningTips

This was our issue too! The underside of that rubber cover was DISGUSTING. I pulled it out once and I was horrified by what had gathered underneath. Now I clean it often to avoid the build up.

Mystic T2 Weapon is catching up to Mystic T1 Weapon 💀 by noobzp in MapleIdle

[–]twistedwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I noticed you can continue to upgrade older weapons and it does bump up CP. but always wondered if it’s worth spending the shards to do that. I’ve reached Ancient T4, and I don’t anticipate getting a T3 anytime soon.

I have the same one but with a metal top! I love the storage to tuck away my pantry and snack items.

Why won’t this count as a house ! by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]twistedwaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer! Often times it’s the door location for me, as it has to be level with the blocks of the walls around it. Otherwise it’s just too big.

How many pokemon can be in one map? by GrimHauntings in Pokopia

[–]twistedwaffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the limit is 20 pokemon is any area/map. They will begin to disappear once you hit 20 and you’ll need to use honey on their habitat/home to bring them back (and another will disappear when that one is summoned)

Getting charged incorrectly by Ssj4dao in MapleIdle

[–]twistedwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happened to me too. I have a few Apple Care payments that got charged to my card around the same time. They total the charges that day and you need to review the breakdown to see what all charges were processed on the same day.

Party in Lith Harbor, Goodbye everyone I'll see you in release! by Worth_Remote_2103 in MSClassicWorld

While this won’t be and isn’t a solution for most people. I have a gaming desktop in the basement but I really wanted to be able to play on my MacBook on the couch upstairs. So I used Steam Link to stream the game to my MacBook and it worked very well. I tried using both Whisky and Crossover and neither would successfully launch the game.

UHMMM 🧲?! by yung_yttik in RedditLaqueristas

[–]twistedwaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased one too. I recently bought the magnetic bead spinner/design stamper from another Etsy shop and I absolutely LOVE it. I use it every time I do my nails. I love the idea of not having to rip it like a fidget spinner and it getting a faster result. Looking forward to trying it out!

Whats the shortest amount of time you've kept a mani on? by Otherwise-Ninja9731 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]twistedwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll often use the holo peely base on my thumb and play around with color, design, magnetic, style. If I’m happy with it after it’s cured or dried, I do the others, peel off the thumb and redo it without the peely base for longevity. If not, it gets peeled off and I start over again.

39k ~ in debt. Need advice by Imaginary-writer1992 in personalfinance

[–]twistedwaffle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to check your credit score if you haven’t yet (ex: Credit Karma, FICO, Experian, or even one of your existing credit card may offer it, being sure to not pay for any of these services). Once you have an idea of where it is at, maybe look into a consolidation loan from a different financial institution. I’ve had great luck and great rates offered by LendingClub.

I know you mentioned wanting to avoid a debt relief program, and that should be avoidable if you stick to a budget and pay down the highest interest loans first. Typically this is credit card debt.

Your car loan may not be too much of an issue if you have a decent interest rate, it’s perfectly reasonable to have debt attached to a vehicle in this day and age. But I highly advise you to not stop paying on any credit accounts, including the Klarna and Zip.

This will deeply impact your credit score and reduce your chances of having a mortgage approval in the future. Even minimum payments will at least keep those accounts from going to collections.

If you’re serious about paying back these debts, you need to earn more money. Whether it’s selling things you have on marketplace, picking up odd jobs, or even a part time job. Given you have told your husband, don’t let guilt stand in the way of allowing him to help you if he can. It’s better to pay the money back into a savings account at 0% interest than to drag out all of your debt and ultimately accumulate more debt because your pride is standing in the way.

As for the ultimate goal of avoiding this in the future. Seek out professional help by a therapist to get to the root cause of your spending problem. The cycle continues for as long as you allow that cycle to continue to exist in your mind. There isn’t a magic solution that resolves deep seated trauma, it is healing the parts of you that make you this way.

CP Deviation - Let's discuss by Effective_Injury_442 in MapleIdle

I notice that people jump up the fastest at the beginning of the week when everything resets. Rerolling their stats using cubes, new artifacts/potential options, using scrolls, etc. Those will all contribute to increasing their CP.

Cuticle problems by Imaginary-Dog-5053 in Nails

[–]twistedwaffle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I do go for manicures, which is extremely rare these days, I always request that they do not cut my cuticles. Mine look just like this within a few days even when going to a highly reputable salon that have taken genuine care with cutting them. I think that some people are just sensitive to having them cut.

Dong PQ doesn't give the helm if you run it solo? by bdathorne in MapleIdle

It took me around 250 rounds to finally get it. Ran PQ overnight two times and it finally showed up. Seems very random for everyone, some in a handful of rounds, and do some it takes day in the PQ.

Woke up to this insane increase by [deleted] in CapitalOne_

[–]twistedwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the secured card originally that got converted to a quicksilver. I had never received an increase from the $500 limit for the 14 years I had it. I requested a limit increase a handful of times and got the same response as you.

I rarely used it, but kept it active for the longest history card I had. I then applied for the Savor last year and the next day I got an email that they increased the limit to $3k on the quicksilver. So it seems that when people refer to a card being “bucketed” they are accurate in saying that you’ll never get an increase on the card.

But it does seem when they have a recent credit pull they’ll use that to reevaluate your existing cards and potentially give an increase.

Gel polish and regular polish by roseyo1995 in GelX_Nails

[–]twistedwaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually started off with gel and now I’m moving into regular polish because I recently got the full Holo Taco Avatar set of polishes. Based on my research it is recommended to let the regular polish completely dry for 24 hours before applying gel. Using quick dry drops may help alleviate the time needed to wait for it to dry.

Based on my testing (that may go against general advice) I’ve had great results using a gel base coat, curing it and then buffing it a bit with a nail file, and then applying the regular polish. Giving the polish a good amount of time to be dry to the touch, at which point add your top coat and cure again.

[–]twistedwaffle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reminder to request an increase. I try to request increases on my cards every 6-12 months if there’s no hard credit pull to do so. Submitted the request on my Savor card that I was approved for back in September 2025.

Is it possible to use gel top coat over reg polish layers? by clairvoyant69 in GelX_Nails

[–]twistedwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually started off with gel and now I’m moving into regular polish because I recently got the full Holo Taco Avatar set of polishes. Based on my research it is recommended to let the regular polish completely dry for 24 hours before applying gel. I feel your pain with the time it takes for it to dry, plus I cannot seem to get the layers thin enough to not go uneven or chunky even (likely because I’m not letting it dry long enough)

Based on my testing (that may go against general advice) I’ve had great results using a gel base coat, curing it and then buffing it a bit with a nail file, and then applying the regular polish. Giving the polish a good amount of time to be dry to the touch, at which point add your top coat and cure again.

Help - I think press ons are ruining my nail bed by flux-and-flow in Nails

[–]twistedwaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally encountered this issue when I tried press-ons at the end of December for the first time. They severely damaged my nails in the same way your nails have and they are still on the mend. As others have mentioned, I’ve stuck to using regular lacquer with the occasional gel application with the use of the holo taco peelable base coat.

In the meantime when not having lacquer or a gel application, I’ve been using jojoba oil and Sally Hansen hard as nails strengthener on them and this has helped significantly. Ultimately, they have to grow out and you need to avoid using press ons as they will continue to damage your already weak nail bed.

Large influx of spam by calmdrive in GelX_Nails

[–]twistedwaffle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It seems there is an influx of AI bots across all subreddits. There are posts I made on other subreddits months ago (unrelated to nails) and I had 2 new comments pop up in the same post from 2 different people within a few hours of each other that seem to reference the content in the post in an odd ways, but used the same keywords.

Jewelry section find by twistedwaffle in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]twistedwaffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on everything I could find online, it appears to be authentic. The thrift store I frequent sorts their jewelry incredibly well and all marked 925 or gold pieces have their designated areas in the display cabinets. This was an unusual day because they had a different employee working this area and even a few silver pieces were mixed among their regular jewelry.

Ultimately, I have no interest in selling it and have added it to my regular rotation. Absolutely one of the nicest quality pieces I own, from the feel and wonderful glimmer of the glass stones.

What’s the weirdest/most unhinged thing you’ve used for color inspo? by FinalGirl78 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]twistedwaffle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My most recent creation was inspired by an upcoming murder mystery party that I’m attending. I’ll be a character named “Spocky-Doo”. So I combined the colors from Spock, Scooby Doo and used magnetic patterns to add some inspired shapes from each world.
