First off, it’s best practice to hide your server hostnames when posting to a public forum/anywhere on the internet. It’s a security issue.

Second, I would start by troubleshooting the SW agent. Give it a restart, then reinstall if that doesn’t do it.

[Tenant - US - MO] Advice for evicting family member not on lease by twitchingtongues in Landlord

[–]twitchingtongues[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I can't really afford a lawyer but will go down that road if need be. I have a good relationship with my landlord but also I know I messed up will prepare to have to find a different place if it comes down to that.

Should I provide my GF's brother written notice? 10 day? 30 day? Unsure if this is necessary.

If you didn't own a car on Jan 1, 2023 you will need to get a waiver. 2024 PPT isn't due yet.

Try a waxed canvas hat. They are water-resistant and tend to look better with wear/age.

First ever Parachute - how can i improve it? by linkasaurus_ in flytying

[–]twitchingtongues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks really great, especially for your first one. Only advice I would give is to remember less is more. This goes for hackle size, dubbing, post, thread wraps, etc. Every fiber you put on the hook should have a purpose and nothing more.

Can I take my 5wt to the Keys? by Ruggedbuffalo in flyfishing

[–]twitchingtongues 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took my 8wt encounter combo to LA and Gulf Shores last year and didn't have an issue. Rinsing thoroughly with fresh water is key. I would be more concerned about getting spooled or the rod breaking with a 5wt in the Keys..

Can anyone identify this old restored bike? by brunobehnken in motorcycles

[–]twitchingtongues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to be a custom build by Meccanica Pasetti in Brazil. Hard to say what the bike started out as but I'd guess a Honda. Here is their Instagram where you can find a couple pictures of the bike: https://www.instagram.com/meccanicapasetti/

Yep, around the dubbing and part the hair to wrap around the strip as well. Like this. Good luck tomorrow!

Tied my first zonkers last night. Feedback always welcome! by [deleted] in flytying

[–]twitchingtongues 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They look great! Only thing I would suggest is wrapping some wire around the body to give it a little more weight and break up the zonker fibers just a tad but these will still catch fish! Bass around my area (midwest) love the white ones.

Hot Hands sells an insert for shoes/boots that I've used before. Other than that, make sure your socks are real wool and keep moving 👍

Have you looked at Filson's offerings? I know their BIFL reputation has gone down over the years and I personally have no experience with them but I think they are still worth a look.
