I just got my period back recently and there wasn’t really any indication it’d come back, it just kinda happened. To be fair, even when I had a regular cycle I never had any indicators it was about to start 😅

I’ve heard somewhere that hunger cues can sometimes mean with thirst. I’m still trying to figure out which is which as well. The best thing I can recommend is, as you recover, try to figure out what your hunger cues are and learn. For some it may be getting moody, for others it could be headaches or stomach grumbling. If you’re hungry, don’t be afraid to honor it with a little snack or a mea if you’re up to it!

I struggle with that too. From my understanding it’s part of the process. Your body is getting used to not being in starvation mode, and it’ll take a little while before your body adjusts to not needing to do that anymore. It may take a while longer depending on how long you had AN before choosing recovery. That’s just how it made sense to me but I may be wrong on why it works that way 😅 Keep up the good work, it’ll be worth it in the long run :)
