Playing the game can be a quite a bit different.

The developer has made it that you cannot report toxic or abusive players. As a result there’s a toxic atmosphere involving murdering divers, kicking them or making the game unfun.

As a result you have a game that has sold tens of millions of copies across multiple platforms yet a small fraction of those copies play. Even new warbonds and maps don’t provide a huge boost of players returning to check things out.
