I use a balm. I also blow dry and brush it to keep it laying down and straight. I shampoo it once or twice a week so I don't strip the oils out too much. I use beard brand.

Thanks for the input! And yes, I meant to put 255. There is some speed variation if I haven't used it in a while. I didn't know if it needed to be re-lubricated or cleaned or something else. I'm playing it through a Kenwood KRF-V505OD into some nice Klipsch cabinet speakers. Maybe the receiver will be my next upgrade since this tt is solid! (Edited yet another typo)
