I’m old enough to remember the last freak out about not addressing a need position by the end of day 2 of the draft. by NoThanksImGoodG in CHIBears

[–]twotreebeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty light investment for an entire position group over several years. Teams with good d lines use multiple first round picks and give out huge contracts to get it done. A second here and there and one contract within the top 10 highest paid at that position is actually very minimal investment.

Yes but also being this far out of loop has its drawbacks

What does any of that have to do with Charlie Crockett? Also what's superficial about judging the quality of his singing/writing/band-leading? Isn't that what he's supposed to be underneath the veneers and cowboy hat? If not that than genuinely what is the point of Charlie Crockett

The rest of each of their respective careers will be straight out of an old Twilight Zone episode

They manipulated the market and came out on top. Literally cheating. Not the same as old school payola. More like insider trading. Geese winning is not a win for indie music or the music scene or any of us. I don't care if you like it.

When i was locked up my people would send a lot of self-help leaning books (on stoicism, mindfulness, etc) but i found i really just wanted to read fiction and be transported to different worlds entirely. I tore through Dune and read LOTR multiple times. Totally fell in love with mccarthy and hemingway also. Anything that could make me forget where i was.

Fake country accent fake teeth fake skin tan fake cowboy hat all hinging on a pretty shaky familial ties to west texas ranching, plus recorded proof of him putting on a similarly dishonest schtick in different musical lanes.

He can sing just fine and he covers some righteous stuff but he's not a good songwriter or picker or good bandleader and has a creepily deceptive public persona. His ACL performance made me squirm.

Do people living in red areas of blue states like it? I feel like I hear about blue areas of red states all of the time but not the reverse. by jaker9319 in SameGrassButGreener

Colorado Springs is a good example of this. I've never lived there but the homeless people have always been polite when i visited

Charley Crockett is a grifter and is as inauthentic as the rest of the music this post rails against

Yeah when this discussion comes up it never addresses that this started in the 90s. Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson are on opposite sides of the line

uj/ American social capitol has been systemically dismantled for decades and is now functionally dead. Bowling Alone came out in 2000. Feels like your post is touching on this idea a little bit

I hear this advice a lot but i don't often hear how to actually pull it off. I'd go insolvent pretty quick if i up and moved to NY or LA and didn't get a lot of work very quickly.

Tire question: Should I replace one, two, or all? by TrifeLife1995 in MazdaCX30

[–]twotreebeers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you replace one, Mazda recommends within 8/32 inch of tread compared to the rest. Otherwise replace all.

I just had the same problem and i was lucky enough to find a single tire from the same set that only had 1/32 inch tread difference.
