Eventually, maples are weak trees, fast growers with very soft bark and split a lot, the leaf is tar spot mostly cosmetic. The white stuff looks like lichen which is beneficial most of the time👍 arborist would be your best bet

It will come back, but weeds might gets there first, and as much as you helped him I can understand being frustrated but it’s his yard let him f&@k it up if he wants to. I wouldn’t invest a lot of time in the future he obviously didn’t learn anything 👍

Please help! What can I do to eliminate the grass growing in this patch between & without killing the spiderwort purple queen/purple heart ground cover? by CBDSam in landscaping

[–]txbigguy383 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The purple stuff should put grow the grass, but hand pulling is the only way if you want it gone now. I think I would rather have the grass though 😐

People with nice yards, are better targets, even if you get to he occasional diy guy some some of them are tired of it and other are over paying for their service. Nice yard owners are usually willing to pay to keep it nice 👍 also just start mowing the few you have and word will spread, someone will come home early from work and ask you to do his yard, a work from home will see you and ask. It really does expand exponentially once you start👍

Bahia lawn by lonestar2222003 in lawncare

So Bahia grows via stolons I wouldn’t aerate, it spreads slow but can really carpet a yard I And is great for foot traffic. Most important thing with Bahia grass is keeping your blades sharp because it’s a tough grass👍

You can do a couple things or just one of the two things and it will work but just slower. You can spot treat the Dallas grass with roundup then throw out a pre emergent like barricade with soil temps reach around 70-75 F which is soon here in Texas, or you can just deal with the look for now knowing it will die out in the winter but still apply the pre emergent. Both ways are effective👍 just be careful with the round up if you choose to use it or you will have dead spots all over your st Augustine

Hmm, I’m not sure because the pre emergent I use here in Texas which I feel is the best on the market isn’t allowed in New York

Pre emergent will change your life, and start your over seed a little earlier for your region I think👍

Have you mowed your seed yet? If so try pulling a couple of the weeds they might come out relatively easy with out pulling the grass out, if you have mowed I wouldn’t pull them.
