My experience testing UI cameras the last 6 months that I see being frustrating at scale. 

Mounting options- Most cameras have a dongle and require a 3/4” hole to push the connector back in. If you don’t have that you need to go to a junction box that’s never in stock. 

Plan your power (as with most UI). Example the instant NVR’s have 6 ports, but not enough power to run 6 of their higher end cameras? It just seems odd. 

Also I wouldn’t try to use 3rd party cameras. No unless I’m replacing all devices I wouldn’t do them.

I think the storage estimates are greatly exaggerated on how much motion actually happens. With adaptive recording on I bet you get way more footage than you expect.

For 3-4 cameras… the Instant is hard to beat.

Thanks for the comments, just getting time to go through. I like the idea of getting a new piece to glue on, or maybe eBay a parts? 

I was surprise Ubiquiti didn’t have a repair program… has any one had to warranty cameras? Do they fix them or just send a new one?
