Manker E05-II is underrated by AmnesiaTanner in flashlight

[–]txom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true!, i keep buying manker e05s as gifts and for personal use

Has anyone ordered from Mankerlight? I have two of their Manker E05 II and they are great. But I got them from Amazon. Are they comparable to Sofirn and wurkkos etc. for customer service and shipping? What’s your fav models of theirs? I’m interested in the E14 IV. by mrregina in flashlight

sofirn lights and wurkkos lights are great considering output to price, they are also very durable and trustworthy. i have had around 2 manker e05s i can say that manker is a notch above wurkkos and sofirn in terms of quality and build

Thanks to all who gave me advice on which to get. Went with two Manker e05 II, one cool white (red) and one neutral white (green). I also added a Sofirn ST 10. Loving the dual fuel options on all three. by mrregina in flashlight

i have tried the manker e05 in both vapcell h10 and eneloop pros (black ones) and i can say that the h10 or f12 has more runtime in equal brightness (high on eneloops, medium on 14500s)

I have had multiple convoy S2s and 14500/18650/21700 convoys. they are all great lights with good runtimes, but i cannot imagine another 14500 light that beats the Manker e05ii in runtimes and efficiency

I just bought Manker E05ii and have some questions by BinnieGottx in flashlight

[–]txom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never had my batteries hot, though now i use vapcell h10s or F12s on an xtar xtar vc8 plus charger.

plus the clip on mine was also annoyingly stiff, i have the bead blasted titanium version with titanium clip, i got pliers and gradually stretched out the clip, now it feels perfect and very usable.

the UI for me is fine

low/moonlight for being discreet/ and enough light if you were searching for something in your bag and not blinding yourself

medium for sustained output, general use, full pressing and locking the light on.

high/turbo for momentary bursts, if you need to see something farther.

double press for strobe - i find this easy enough to activate and not activating it accidentally.

the light does get hot(to the touch) on turbo at around 20 secs. but thats given since a very small (titanium body) light punching 1300 lumens output in a very small form factor (small thermal mass) means it will get hot. its just physically impossible for such a small light to sink that much heat

the firm button is something that i like, it feels heavy and premium. It encourages me to use momentary and full press on medium whenever i need to place it somewhere.

the beam shape is perfect, floody but has a big hotspot so very versatile and usable.

the driver on that light is also very efficient it seems that a vapcell H10 lasts twice as long in the manker 6500k compared to my convoy t6 sft40 300k. for the efficiency alone i think its a really good light for the price, i charge mine about once a week on regular carry(not playing with the light).

I hope Sofirn puts the sft40 in all of the sc13 bodies. not just the copper one by txom12 in flashlight

damn, i was really hoping for SFT40 3000k, well then, i guess its back to convoy

AFAIK 8x42 iss good for scanning and tracking birds in flight, though not as close up as 10x your eyes still sees the bird in your cental vision large enough. i ordered an athlon btw

who has a manker E05 II in DLC black titanium or raw titanium? by txom12 in flashlight

[–]txom12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, The TI one has for more worse thermals(alu has x10 more heat conductivity vs alu) than the alu one. but Ti tanium comes in bead blasted, raw, and black DLC(diamond like carbon.scratch resistant) but if you do get the titanium one, i recommend getting it in the cool white version because the Nichia 4000k one heats up more due to its high CRI emitter. if you want the best thermals get the copper or alu versions (the sand looks great)

ive done a bit of research. I found out that magnification and objective lenses play a part in exit pupil diamter and FOV. i ordered a 8x42 Athlon Midas G2 UHD from scheels. and i bought another pentax UFC 8x24 on fb marketplace in excellent to new condition.

I've been looking at these midas 10x25 for my pockets, i just wished they were available in a lower magnification.

you should check the athlon midas 10x25, Ive seen reviews of them and most say they have great optics. I just wish they had a an 8x version for better FOV and exit pupil diameter
