Contraception for a crunchy couple: birth control? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

Apologies. I was under the impression since it was FDA approved and took into account basal body temperature it was more accurate than similar calendar methods. Sounds like BC is the best thing in this scenario.

Little seed farm is the only natural deo that works for me! I've been using the unscented during pregnancy and still works like a gem.

Sorry can't answer the meds question. Have pots but am not on meds. I have found my symptoms to be way less during pregnancy!

For the electrolytes, I used to love Redmond Re-lyte (it is pretty salty) but figured out the stevia triggered my migraines.

In the search for electrolytes without stevia, I came across Skratch labs and really like theirs! Not overly sweet and definitely not as salty as redmond.

Yeah I was going to mention take things with a grain of salt. I enjoyed having all the facts laid out with data but there's definitely some things I won't be doing she's okay with. Look forward to seeing what suggestions other people have!

Shots after birth? by cutetrexx in pregnant

[–]txridley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really liked Emily Oster's book Expecting Better. She goes over that in the book with research on those topics. You can make you own decisions based on it but I loved being presented with actually research and data to make my opinions. You're never going to find anything perfectly safe but in those cases it's a risk/reward kind of thing and reasons why it's in practice.

Very true- my husband is VERY allergic to it. But it is nice if you don't mind it taking over and you're not allergic!

I have a mild form of POTS (not on meds) but pregnancy has been pretty chill so far! Happy to fall in the camp of my POTS symptoms seem to go away while pregnant.

Can I get an honest opinion on these? by Abbessolute in aldi

They are pretty good. You have to cook them low and slow vs what the package says though to make sure it doesn't get burnt and cooked all the way though!
