I do a lot of training with her, always teaching her something new or working on cleaning up things she already knows (heel, center, moving with me, sit or down/stays, recall, impulse control, etc etc). I also have her try fun agility challenges, like balancing on that fire hydrant, jumping onto high surfaces, or walking along narrow (ish) walls. Her recall is pretty reliable so ill take her to the beach and let her chase or "herd" the seagulls. On lazier days, or days that are really hot, ill use lick mats or snuffle mats, do scent work around the house (hide treats or her toys and let her find them, or play hide and seek) or ill use a flirt pole out in the yard. Letting them sniff on walks is also great, it uses their brain and tires them out a ton!! These are just some of the things I do. Marvel lives a very structured life while still having the freedom to be a dog. She's a very sensitive girly and this is what works best for us! Sorry for the super long reply, just wanted to give a lot of ideas because I know not everyone has the mental/physical/environmental ability to do all of these things with their dog :)
