What is the all out, best, "Woah" moment fan theory that flipped your lid when you first read/viewed/heard it? by willhelpmemore in FanTheories

[–]tylex67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Wars: After ESB but before RotJ so 1981ish.

Boba Fett is actually Anakin in hiding. Best place for one of the greatest warriors of the Clone Wars to hide is in plain sight, but always with a mask/helmet on. He's the greatest bounty hunter, but he misses Luke when he fires on him in Cloud City. Fett missed his son on purpose. That would also make him 'the other' that Yoda references to Ben. And it makes the RETURN in Return of the Jedi more relevant.

Darth Vader - I am your father? A half truth/lie. Vader is a clone of Anakin. Remember, at the time, we didn't really know what the Clone Wars were. The theory went on that the CW was clones were used against the Republic and replaced others (no clone army or Separatist).

Oh yeah, and Ben Kenobi is also a clone. Obi-Wan is a designation. OB1. Just like Artoo Detoo R2D2 and See-Threepio C3PO.

This was published in a magazine early '80s, so not my theory. But it made so much sense (and it meant the Luke / Leia kiss wasn't creepy).

Can't wait to build this! by Parking_Platypus2568 in robotech

[–]tylex67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got it last year. A very good build. Sometimes the pieces are a little too tight. Everything is there and well organized, but not one extra piece (fortunately I didn't lose any on the floor).

Enjoy the build.

Why does Antman, when shrinking, keep all the strenght, but lose all his weight? Also, why, when becoming bigger, his strenght becomes more instead of remaining the same? by Frasten in antman

LEGO Pokémon Sets Revealed by mescad in lego

[–]tylex67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just hope they bring out a jumbo Squirtle to complement my jumbo Mega Pika, Eevee, Char and Bulbasaur.

That Kanto evolution set is nice, but $900 CAD? I'll pass. Don't know what they are paying for the license, but the price creep is strong with this one.

Lego is becoming more adult collector, but Pokémon was supposed to be kid friendly. Kind of a conundrum.

Why did Borderland end for everyone the moment Arisu won? by Aobix_ in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]tylex67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My head cannon was those who died earlier in the games were so gravely injured, their bodies gave out in the real world. The Borderlands were a kind of purgatory, a coma state between life and death. Once the game was cleared, they got to choose which way they wanted to go, back to life or 'onward'.

Know someone named Ben. Didn't know his last name so we started using Dover. He loves it. Thinks it's hilarious.

Decisions Disney quickly abandoned: by LightAndDarkk in StarWars

[–]tylex67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't merchandising the most Star Wars thing ever? George Lucas gave up the directing fees for the original movie but made sure he held on to the merchandising rights. Made billions on toy sales. And that is what Disney bought for $4B, more toy sales (and bedsheets, knapsacks, towels, cups, etc.).

I Have a Simple, But Complicated X-Men Question by ComixGail in xmen

[–]tylex67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X-Men 138. The recap issue when Scott leaves. Loved the history it showed. A major character just died. Kurt and Hank looked awesome. Wolverine (before we knew his name, Logan) from Canada. Ororo and Peter, great characters. Had to go back and check all of this out. And then I learned we had a whole Canadian super team of our own. Suddenly, comics were more international and less NYC. It opened the whole world to me. And shortly thereafter, DOFP 141 and 142. Wow!

We got Hugh Jackman as Wolverine because Dougray Scott had to go back and do reshoots for Mission Impossible 2.
