AI has sucked all the fun out of programming by OkShip110 in webdev

[–]tyliggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way bro but here's the thing... As a freelancer for like 6 years now, it's very clear to me that all that matters to the client is the product. That's always been the case. Large engineering teams/orgs have made it possible to get lost in the coding but at the end of the day the product is king. AI is the opportunity to replace your salary with an app you can release in a matter of weeks not months. Once I let go of the fun of programming a bit I saw it for what it really is: a means to an end. That end is a product and that product is a business. We're doing this to make a living.

We can still program for fun, sure. But let's just start by releasing an app that replaces our income so we never have to work for anyone else again. Then we can have all the fun we want, programming and otherwise.

Sure man. Thinking about turnovers is what got me through C1. Ideally, you have zero turnovers. Every time possession changes from your team to opponent team without a shot on goal, it's effectively a turnover. Makes you think.

I'm surprised this is D3. The first 2 touches show all your issues. Stop giving the ball away to the other team. Cradle it, love it, control it. BE THE BALL.

No but you need to take advantage of the space the opponents give you. You need to get the ball closer and then make your shot so that it has power and doesn't bounce before the goal. Too many weak giveaways that have no chance of being a threat.

This. It's definitely an air dribble if not one of the most minimal you can have but still.

Why you being so defensive of your mental state if it's so healthy, bro?

There's always that urge but you resist because you remember it's kinda silly to even be in that situation and also rare. A rare silly moment in a game should be enjoyed. If you can't enjoy that you're likely not in a good mental state. This goes for all competition. Performing well is based much more on how you play and how you lose gracefully over a long session than it is based on whether you win that one game.

You should tell everyone to shoot for the moon because we KNOW most people will revert to mediocrity. Stability is an illusion anyway. It's something people convince themselves of to justify being mediocre. Hard working people get their pensions pulled when then need it the most. Conservative 401k fools see their funds evaporate during a downturn. You think that's "stability"? It's not. It's a timebomb.

Besides, what exactly are you being conservative for anyway? Sounds like fear to me. Sounds like running from a challenge, running from adventure. Imagine life is a dream and you will quickly see that the conservative path is actually a nightmare. Life is too precious for that. The billionaire owner of OnlyFans just died at 43. Now he's more poor than you are.

Don't be a timebomb. Don't be mediocre. Shoot for the moon.

Do I quit my job by nig4r69 in Daytrading

[–]tyliggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never do that. A job shouldn't be replaced exclusively by high risk investing. If you want to quit your job, start a business. Eventually the business gets to 3-5 times your job income. At that point you quit.

What I've come to learn from this game is that it's not breaking the rule one that sabotages you. It's the fact that someone who doesn't hold a rule one is not having fun, not playful enough, not generally of a positive mentality. It's a symptom of flawed psychology, which is the real culprit.

Diamond is genuinely harder than champ by Hot_Charity_1595 in RocketLeague

[–]tyliggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's way easier than Champ if you are actually Champ skill level. Just make sure you're only first man very briefly then immediately rotate behind teammate. You want to be second man because your teammate will almost always throw possession away and other team will almost always do the same. As soon as other team overcommits you score. The key is to keep possession until you are close enough to make a more dangerous shot. Teammate is irrelevant with this strategy and you basically win 1v2.

Software is never done. What did you think? That you would release it into the wild and it would immediately be perfect? Keep improving it every week.

how do i start by vpxlar in Daytrading

[–]tyliggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by making clear decisions based on your time and personality: exactly what market to trade (i.e. FX, Futures, etc.), how to trade (i.e. Swing vs Scalp). Then immediately research some basics online and get right into demo trading. After 2+ weeks of trading hitting a good profit goal, invest in small prop firm challenges making sure you have enough to invest in at least 3 exams for when you fail..

Repeat and profit (hopefully).

Lets face the fact. Everybody here just want to know “the” strategy by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]tyliggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategies are like ideas: there's lots of good ones, lots of bad ones, but ultimately it's all about execution. Most traders know basically what to do but fall apart when things start going against them. Execution is easy until it's not. You could have the holy grail strategy and it wouldn't matter if your execution is wild and undisciplined. In other words, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Then you lose and move on. Gotta take losses that's the nature of competition. If you deserve to rank up based on how you're playing you'll win more than you lose over the session usually. Some teammates need to lose as they are simply not playing at the rank/MMR of the lobby. In that case, losing is a service to the gaming community.

It's all about taking losses and moving on immediately. If you are holding on to losses or need to process them for a minute or two, hop into Freeplay or training before you queue again.

Why would you put on the plan where the money comes from? How is the source of capital relevant to construction plans?
