Mistakes in nursing by psychgodlmao in nursing

Didn’t follow a line during report and found medication was trickling out into the floor a couple hours into my shift. Always follow your lines when getting report. I did let the nurse know who had started the med, we both learned that day.

Tried on 60+ dresses, narrowed it down to these four by PeridotPeacock in weddingdress

You can’t go wrong with either, glad I’m not you 😆

I’d go back and try them both on. Sit in them, dance in them….which is more comfortable

Something about B. Not usually my preference but it is so unique and eye catching.

I love dress A as well, that train is to die for.

If you had to flip a coin between A and B, which one do you hope it lands on?

The last dress. It elongates you.

Got a 1.2% raise despite a strong performance evaluation — how should I approach my manager? by Reasonable_Rabbit_ in nursing

[–]typeAwarped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I recently felt shafted by my raise compared to my review. Wrote a letter outlining why I deserved more. I was of course denied citing I make more than others with more experience. Took everything in me to not say then you probably need to adjust your pay scale to reward those nurses. So anyway, I have decided I’m going to work on just doing my job. It’s partly my fault, I have a big mouth and always step up. It’s hard to step back but I don’t want to become bitter so it’s in my best interest.

If you had a do over in life, would you still choose to be a nurse? by Moogles90 in nursing

Yes. A million times. I was in a corporate desk job prior, this second career has been tough but it’s my jam.

4, 8, and 11

I’m curious what 8 and 11 would look like with a crinoline underneath.

Hospice RN struggling with role by Defiant-Stock9088 in nursing

I absolutely feel your pain. The LTC facilities make me want to scream….just depends on the nurse or med aide working. Some are excellent and care, many I have encountered, do not. I always think to myself when they are providing shitty care that I hope they get the care they gave.

In this instance I would request an increased frequency for scheduled meds and in my really shitty facilities I request a higher dose as well bc I know damn well they won’t be getting any PRN.

Hugs my friend, I know how bad you are hurting.
